@@EndThusIAmknocking on a game that came out nearly 2 decades? Yeah great comparison. Don’t get me wrong for it’s time it was good, but very janky but to compare say the Fallen Order series is a stretch as they both have so much caliber to their games but very very different in concept as after all The Jedi Knight series was originally meant to be First Person until Outcast changed the direction especially on the lightsaber combat. Good and bad thing about mods is that sure it does change to improve certain aspects but if it was never in the original release, then it shows that it was never meant to go beyond its required specs to run the game which is why I laugh when people compare FO NV to FO4. They are games that tested the capability at its time and should never be compared imo and these vids don’t help as it is a hot bed for mindless debates and insults. People tend to forget that The Episode 3 game has some of the best lightsaber animations you will ever see in a Star Wars game but will be seen as dated due to it being very limited in accessible ways to play but again it’s a different formula that took elements simply from hack and slash games. Honestly they all have so much charm that should never be compared
Approximated damage: 0:01 hit his leg or maybe not. -5% hp max, probably missed. Hard to tell. 0:03 horizontal unblocked swing -40% hp, clear hit, but this strike is not very powerful 0:04 vertical hit, -20% hp, could have been more if she targeted head Dark rage activated -25% hp 0:05 diagonal hit. Usually it would be -5-10%, but with dark rage it is 2% max 0:06 horizontal swing over his head - didn't connect, no damage 0:08 first air wheel - didn't connect, no damage 0:09 second air wheel - he made a sound of being hit, so it probably connected, but this is weak move, so it is -5% max, with dark rage -1% max Dark rage ended, he is at 1%-10% hp, most likely at 1%, can be instantly killed by force lighting. 0:10 vertical swing. Didn't connect, no damage, but interesting how it is part of a combo, so it was slightly faster than usual overhead swing. 0:14 red overhead swing - very powerful strike, even without wiggling. -40..-70% hp. Overkill.
i added dismemberment on academy but it wasnt worth it.. it only works well in outcast :) now for some reason though my academy never lets the bodies vanish so every person i kill just makes a bigger pile hahaha
You probably have "g_corpseRemovalTime" set to "0", which makes them not to disappear. Default is 10 if I'm not mistaken, so they disappear after 10 seconds if they are not in view of the camera.
This lightsaber combat is way better than battlefront 2 lightsaber combat in jedi academy its fluid and in battlefront 2 its wack too many pauses in between strikes and just seems bland
Probably because this is a jedi focused game...whereas Battlefront is not. You're basically asking the equivalent of why there isn't in-depth fencing combat in Call of Duty. lol. The heroes are more or less a bonus in that game. Not the focus.
most legendary game of all time.. outcast is the number 1 pc game but academy added so much stuff and all the colors and graphics are so gorgeous..
ive played this game for 20 years on pc, never gets old, always something new and fun
nice work! when you realize the wasd and click technique you can pull beautiful moves and get precise kills
Notice how every strike with flips, spins, and flails did nothing. Then a simple downward strike killed him.
enemies are unkillable in Dark Rage, but yeah - the simple overhead chop is extremely powerful because it connects for longer period of time
@@desu665 I figured, but I couldn't resist knocking on it like modern lightsaber duels

better than combat in any other SW game, because lightsabers feel like lightsabers and not some glowing sticks

I wonder why everyone plays as twi-leks
