You can't deny, us Chinese are taking faking stuff to the next level!
Hope for your sake it just stops here and doesn't involve the food that you eat.
@@chenghonggoh4746hopefully you are not fake too
@@DavidFoo-kh4ri Hahaha. You know a sore point has been hit when people start questioning the existence of the questioner.

even the gutter oil is fake, lol
It was put there just 20 years ago. The locals surely remembered the times when it was not there.
And the tourists liked it. As long as anyone enquiring about it got a correct answer from tourist guide, well, why not?
England has tons of fake Druidic monuments, put up in the countryside in the 19th century by eccentric busybodies and those fakes have themselves now become historic landmarks.
Even the stone in China is fake 😭

Year 2004 - "Oh. New rock!" No questions asked.

Hahaha so true
information sharing is more limited at that time too tho
Wutong Mountain resort has brought shame to their country.
I get they want to attract more tourist to their mountain and at what cost.
Now their shenanigan is exposed.
It's just a billboard...
because they were born in the late 90s and early 2000s.
they were either very small or not born at all to question the new rock. 😢
That's the most Chinese thing I've ever heard, they copied a rock so they could make a tourist attraction?
those 4 donkeys head in a rock mountain is made in the same way.
Why does it surprise you?
Millions pay to go to Tibet and Xinjiang
But all they come back home with is lighter wallets and bigger tummies
😂😂😂
@@DylanF.B well CCP destroy any chinese cultural remnants and build artificial rock to show for it.
Man, you have never been to any tourist attraction like Universal studios, Disneyland, etc? It's so common to build fake buildings or rocks for such sites
@@vertikultursg8532 the rock is a different colour to all the surrounding terrain
Kind of odd people would think it’s natural occurring formation
Why didn't someone post"Hey, where did that new rock come from?" Plus, nobody thought the colouring was suspicious?
I think their brains can't process enough to notice
Where it comes from? It is written in the back side of the Rock - Made in China
@@toddarmstrong1909 yeah we are not getting the whole story
You can clearly see the rock is different colour
It's a billboard...
@ if it a billboard then SCMP did a hit job
I dont get it, why put a fake boulder on top of the mountain? It probably just added a few feet more height. I'm confused 😵💫
no think of it as a sign.... with the red writing..... i think it was popular because of whats written on it.... the chinese just didnt realise the sign isnt real rock
for entrances fee
The red writing on the stone just says "The Top Peak in the City of Kunpeng" (Kunpeng was a big eagle-like mythological bird in the Chinese legends of Far Antiquity dating back 3000 years ago, Shenzhen calls itself the City of Kunpeng so it means the "Top Peak in the City of Shenzhen" in a literature style"
The money generated from the visitors rose by 10% with the rock 😂
For heaven sake, it's just a sign board that is shaped like a rock
"Made in China" but next level
If people had been climbing that mountain before they made that fake rock, why is everyone surprised? Unless it was advertised as a big rock that has already been there since the start?
For heaven sake, it's just a sign board that is shaped like a rock

@@saimyintmyat9373no in general. How do u know if some mountains are actually used for government and stuff like Area 51 but improved

Actually, the whole of China do not exist. It's a lie that started with UK and perpetuated by US.
Also, I have a magic stone that I am unwillingly letting you have for $50.
Mt Everest 😮
This structure is used to shelter may be a storage room but it is made in such a way to not spoil the view of the mountain from distance. This is the reason why it is made like a rock.
Nahhh.. If that's a storage of some sort, there should be a door.
Why put a storage room at the top of a mountain?
Where else can you park a UFO without people noticing?

Indians like you just faked they went to the far side of the moon
When it was really on the near side but close to the far side of the moon
India's rover on the Moon is a fake. All countries that had rovers landed on the Moon showed how their rovers moves to different spots in their images while the India's one has been on the same spot from the day it landed and released only two images to the world.

They just created a sign that blend with the surrounding sight. People should amaze of the brilliant artistic skills and creativity. No offend but isn’t it apparent? To me it’s just a common sense.
Obviously, this media outlet is not fact-checking, and it is more motivated to drive the strong correlation between China and fakes.
They maybe a communist state but they have shrewd mind than a capitalist. Hats off to them !!! 😂😂😂
Plot twist, the entire mountain is fake too
😂 i wouldnt be surprised
that would be a feat of engineering.
😂😂
The plot is reversed, people are also fake
that's what happens when people want money really badly, they fake stuff.
Nothing really surprises me anymore. It is too common. From fake waterfall to fake mountain boulder.
The writing on the rock says it's the highest point in the city, not the rock at the highest peak. We don't criticize telecom companies for making signal towers look like trees, so why complain about a sign designed to look like a rock?
Fraud not crime in china?
Illegal wars, illegal sanctions, plundering, mass murders, lies n fake news is not a crime in the wests..?
Not really. Only they cause it by make mistake.

Did people go there because of that rock? Why is this even a news? what a bunch of nothing burger.
In fact, it's hard to believe that such a hollow structure can withstand so many people.
Im not even mad, that's just impressive
2004: Where did this rock come from?
20 yrs later...
"I cant believe this rock is fake"
So a big rock magically appears on top of a tiny mountain in 2004 and nobody wonders where it came from
people didn't visit there for the boulder. the boulder itself isn't a tourist attraction. And it's not a famous tourist attraction either. just a small hill visited mostly by the locals.
Local people knew it was an artificial rock-looking billboard. Other than they should've built it stronger, what's the big deal? You think others cannot tell? 🤔🤔🤔
There are hundreds of these throughout Switzerland.
True. But they are for a certain reason. If you know, you know.
All they know is FAKE
FFS, it's just a prop at a tourist attraction. Don't they have fake castles at Disneyland around the world? 🤭
Just saw fake plants in China, and now this. From fake waterfall to rock, why? Like, why? Why not building something that enhance the scenic spot instead?
SCMP chose the word very carefully, they use "fake" instead of "man made". Art of Journalism
Have you seen the artificial rock sculptures in the park? The fact that the stone was built in Shenzhen's scenic area through a public tender process , such a simple fact ,why it has become a big news ?As someone who has lived in Shenzhen for 7 years, I just can't stand it anymore.

It's not a surprise in the land of scammers.

I have been living in China for the past 7 years and I would say it's one of the safest and best places to live on earth. I love their zeal to make anything happen out of nothing. It's a fake rock but the thing is it looks real and is serving it's purpose as a real mountain peak will do for visitors. Kudos to the the Chinese tourist association. They are smart.
Fake history. 😂
This was a clever tourism trick. It's amazing how much money an isolated town could make with this method. Makes you wonder how many other 'natural wonders' are actually man made for the same purpose.
If you gonna tell me the great wall is also fake, I'll lose it, man
🤔🤔🤔🤔. If Mongolia army could know china created fake wall. They shouldn't fall their buffing.
Strange how Chinese use their artist skill to create project design to disguise could easily fool tourists.
Life is scam and people use it
Wouldnt be surprised if the entire mountain was built off cardboard.
How hard is it to get that kind off boulder? Just carve off some mountain and put it there.
I bet it gets more visitors now because it sounds really interesting
Gotta have very little eyes to not see a rock as big as that.
that's nice craftmanship
I've known this for weeks now. Where have you been?
So all these time nobody suspected a hollow sound?
It's always the same rock and the same kind of letters in every single mountain in China, they all look the same. What a surprise it's fake.

Why did they feel the need to put a fake rock? I just don't get it.
