@@paxtrickHaven't you watched the anime? His enemy was a reflection of the old Takumi delivering toffee through Akina while everyone was going crazy Takumi was this good on his AE86. His enemy was good for the same reasons, his enemy was born talented, had AE86 Trueno of different type that gave him advantage in driving during that race in that place, he learned driving in early age, he driven in that place a lot so he knew every corner about it, just like Takumi with Akina.
hearing the intro of this song at the end of shinji and takumi is just so sickkk. Sends tingles down my spine. Perfect end to the perfect legend especially with the FT-86 at the end. Hoping theres gonna be some type of continuation with the Initial D story although anime and manga ended. :P
A good way to continue Initial D would be with the new driver including the one with the MX-5.Or a extra stage with Mako and Keisuke at the Tsukuba Circuit. I saw the Trailer for the new initial D movie...and it's gonna be nothing compare with this...
Extreme_Skittle12 I think its Bunta story. Most people wants another Initial D and became curious of how Bunta became so legendary. However, i dont think that its going to happend for M.O.V.E already disbanded after initial D end. It would be fun to see Bunta story however.
Deoxide I don't think so, imho the fact that nobody knows his story and the cause of his god-tier skills, is what makes Bunta a really special character in Initial D, an explanation would ruin his "legendary aura", so to speak. And let's be honest here, m.o.v.e disbanded 4 years ago, the entire Initial D series basically lasted 20 years (1996, the first manga volume was published in Japan - 2016, the third and last Legend film came out world-wide), I think it's finally time for Initial D to "rest in peace".

+cha nayh It'll be back, Takumi said he would bring it back, maybe new engine with the top end of the old engine and the bottom end of a 7AFE :D The blow was probably caused by the crank slipping out and punching a whole through the block like before, so only the bottom end and the valves would be damaged.
No, it was overreving, the valses, pistons, conrods, crankshaft, engine block, pretty much the whole engine would be damaged because of the fact that he didnt overheat it and punch a hole, it overreved, causing too much engine RPM/speed AND overheating, which, is infact, a very terrible combo.
I wish Shinji won. Takumi only did because he over reved his engine. It had nothing to do with skill. Shinji was better than Takumi hands down. I don't think it was fair at all.
That unfairness was the point I think...The legend, Takumi and his AE86 won the race and did their final job but it was all over. AE86 broke. Takumi is no more the best driver. And the legendary Initial D anime series itself ended there. I honestly think It was one of the best finale for such a long anime / manga series.
Shinji is like first stage Takumi, and Takumi in this stage was like first stage Ryousuke but arguably better. I don't think it's fair to say Shinji is better than Takumi at this point in the story- as it would be like saying first stage Takumi is better than Ryosuke. He just has more experience on the course, that's all

Such a good song. It's sad that AE86 died and sad that Takumi got severely injured and traumatized for his entire life because he got unlucky with the car in professional races in MF Ghost lore.

They have disbanded, but they have recorded some songs that are unpublished before they disbanded. this song is one of it.
