Gauri just took the essence of Arhaan's room.. inshort ruined.. his old room had a personal touch.. this one.. 👎🏻.. it's like when you say someone hide n seek is my favourite biscuit & the person keeps on giving you hide n seek till the time you start hating it.. she did it with anime.. his old room had all in one anime frame, Naruto.. everything but this one just have 1 huge wallpaper & everywhere same on the pillows & cushions.. i wonder she call herself a Interior Designer 🙄 Arhaan's choice was really very simple to understand by watching his old room.. i don't know anything about the guy but by watching his room i can say he loves to be sophisticated with his natural personal kind touch.. his room is his tiny world with his sensibility, love, childhood, college memories, & his love for Anime.. With all due respect I admire her for this show and finally making her own space in show business but she still has a long way to go with interior design.
Before after pictures should be shown in slow-motion to feel the change......videos r too quick and cud not make-out the difference in TV unit area....only bed was the focus....must improve

Honestly, it's the worst interior design show, where they talk about everything else but interior design, Netflix shows about interior design have great standards. I feel like I have designed my home better than her design sense, just by watching netflix shows, she doesn't have any oomph factor in her designs. They lack soul or information. I can't believe she put anime on everything, less is more, that's so childish design sense.
I disagree the show is a different format and she achieves the look in less time so that's the plot hence you won't see civil changes and massive redesigning but more over haul. It's more about getting a glimpse into celeb personal space .

Beautiful makeover. But really an Anime character wall for 20 year old? I was bit skeptical to see anime character on the wall. But in the end everything blended really well and wall colors/curtains bed color etc everything complimented very nicely. All new gen yet very soothing to eyes. Good job. …on a side note… it’s hilarious how Malaika called her 20 year old son as ‘Big Boy’. Thank you Gauri for calling him ‘Young Man’😁

What was the point of that huge headrest for the bed? It completely covered the wall paper. Not that I am a big fan of the wallpaper but the lemon/green colored eyes on the anime character were really adding that pop of color in the otherwise grey room/backdrop. 1. I would have selected a headrest for the bed which was half the size and used the same greenish/lemonish pop of color in it (like make the entire headrest of that color or get a black headrest with that lemonish piping (so subtle pop of color)). 2. Again the lamps on both sides of the bed are taking away from the anime wallpaper! Drop pendant lights from the ceiling on both sides of the bed. Make sure the pendant is transparent so that the focus of the room is still that anime wallpaper. 3. Side tables could have been a little modernish like sleek black side tables (if the black headrest is selected) or white tables depending on the headrest we selected from suggestions in my point 1. 4. Not everything needed to be anime characters. It dilutes the focus on the wall behind the bed. The pillow covers could have been simple Chevron print that she has selected for the bed cover or could have been simply white or play around with a third contrasting color if want to go a little more dramatic/bold. Another thing is some unique modern prints could have been introduced on the pillow covers as well while keeping the bedsheet plain/monotone. 5. There was no need to add the same wallpaper behind the shelves it's going to be hidden with items that would be kept on the shelf anyways (assuming that the kid is not living a minimalist style and keeping only a single art piece on the shelf. From the looks of it the kid is collecting toys and anime character artifacts and shoving them on the shelf). 6. The sofa in the room is an old grampa sofa. Bring out the more modernish flavor to the room by bringing a bench sofa in black or lemonish or any third color that was chosen for the pillow covers on the bed. A bench sofa is basically the one which does not have backrest. That is crucial here because if I am not mistaken the sofa is currently covering up the natural light source of the room. Imagine my recommendations for this room and let me know what you think. Edit: I am sorry, I didn't know the "kid" is actually 20 years old! I added the recommendations thinking that Malaika's son is a teenage boy! (Not that anyone cares for my recommendations lol but I am an interior design enthusiast and want to become better at it by self learning)

Well just finished watching it, I liked the previous wallpaper more than the current one . But I liked the new bed Gauri designed. But it's my preference and it doesn't matter cause it's not my room. End of the day if Arhaan likes the room and is happy it's a job well done.

Love u Gauri,bt anime wallpaper and pillow covers is too much for a 20 yr old. he is almost an adult now. But who knows maybe that was what you were instructed so we don't know! Bt besides those anime,the room looked great. Very spacious and comfortable!

The original was much much better than what gauri did. The anime wallpaper on all walls, cushions & pillows is too much and a tad amateurish for a 20 year-old. I mean most people start working at 21-22 and you can hardly consider him a 'boy'. I mean imagine him bringing his friends over or colleagues over. My god
In America Or any developed country for that matter people don't judge others for how they deck up their rooms. Even a grown man can like anime so there is no judgement here.
@@savvy830 having lived in both India and us(a ' developed' country) there is no judgement here and ofcourse a grown up can like anime and the room can look good if done tastefully. This is tacky according to my personal opinion. No offense to anyone who finds it aesthically pleasing.

Well just finished watching it, I liked the previous wallpaper more than the current one . But I liked the new bed Gauri designed. But it's my preference and it doesn't matter cause it's not my room. End of the day if Arhaan likes the room and is happy it's a job well done.

10 years ke bachhe ka room lag raha he. 20 year old is young man. They generally want to impress girls and into them by looking more mature and manly. They like mature music, fitness, mussels sports. They have their opinion. So room me animation part 10% se jyada nahi hona chahiye. Imagine ladka apni gf ko apne room dikhane layega to ladki use bachha samaj ke bhag jayegi😅
