Love the videos! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video. You’re a champ.
It has been might and day for him compared to last season. I do question though- what will his impact be in the wins and losses column. Right now it is hard to read because they are desperate to lose. Can you remind us the situation with the OKC pick that we owe them?
The pick the Jazz owes OKC is Top-10 protected in 2025. In 2026, it's Top-8 protected. After that it goes away and OKC gets nothing in return. If you're wondering if the Jazz will be bad through the 2026 season. Yes, it's possible, especially if they trade John Collins, Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson and Walker Kessler. Though, I believe Wallker is the least likely of that group to get traded. The trade deadline is February 6, 2025 - just a little over six weeks away.
@@rvalens2thank you. If I was a betting man, OKC never gets that pick even if we get a top 4 pick next year.
@@kmunson7544 Long term, it's best for the Jazz if that happens. My wish is that Minnesota falls apart this season and the Jazz end up with two, top-ten picks in the 2025 draft - as Minnesota's pick is unprotected.
In the 2026 draft, the Jazz could end up with 3-first round picks. Besides their own, they are owed Cleveland and Minnesota's pick - if those picks fall outside the top-15.
In 2027, the Jazz could have as many as four, first-round picks (Minnesota, Cleveland, Lakers) and their own. Only the Lakers pick is protected (top-4).
@@rvalens2 it sure appears Minny is headed that direction. They seem to struggle with the upper half of the league. I am a bit surprised by Cleveland was well, but their injury history may eventually bite them.
When talking about passing centers, did you mean to say Alperen Sengun? You said Nurkic, is he considered one? His statline doesnt suggest that. I only pay attention to Nurkic when I bet his under and expect him not to score at all 😁
@@roohaa8382 I was thinking more about a spectrum than the top end where Sengun would be. Nurkic I believe 5out of his 11 seasons in the league has averaged north of 3 asts per game and I think that would be the bottom of the “passing hub center” classification in my mind. Like one game he might give you 6 but usually you’d expect 2. I think peak kessler doesn’t even see that realm of playmaking in his own bag, but defensively, rebound-wise, and working around the rim I’d much rather have him than quite a few others
@@wraithhoopsGood explanation, thanks.
I was going to suggest a video topic about what is going on with Lauri with 9 field goal attempts last 3 games. Then this Pistons game started and it's going pretty well, so maybe not 😅
