    great poem. Good translation, too, allthough there is one thing I think they missed, and that is translating the only rhyme there is in the German version:
    "der Tod ist ein Meister aus Deutschland sein Auge ist blau
    er trifft dich mit bleierner Kugel er trifft dich genau"
    I think that Celan related that part to his mother's death by a bullet, and they missed that rhyme in this english verion.

    Good translation and reading!
    However, I don't understand the reason why keeping Deutschland, which could be perfectly translated into "Germany".
    Furthermore, according to the original version, I don't think it is correctly translated "we are digging a grave in the sky" as it should be "...in the air" and "you'll have a grave in the sky" it should be "you'll have a grave in the clouds".

    terrible reading. You can't read a Celan poem like it's the lyrics of a Johnny Cash song
