The lamp requires a G12 socket (at least that is what they call them here in the US). I did a similar conversion with a small highbay fluorescent fixture I converted to 70-watt pulse start metal halide utilizing a PAR30 70W lamp and ballast.
@@djm5k the socket is called g12 here as well, just forgot the name when filming the video... is there a video of your interesting light conversion somewhere?
@@thestreetlightchannel3945 yes, I can imagine using such lights in malls, office entranceways etc. Where a modern looking light fixture and good color rendering is required. Of course, this day and age, it would be some LED fixture instead...

i think this fixture is best for use in big halls and in bigger quantities
