- Threw the BLX 185 esc, 26t pinion and a 6s battery in it and gave it a go. Results were good, but the esc cut out around 3/4 mark. Stock 3200kv motor, 57t spur, slipper clutch, driveshafts and difs. The road to 100 mph has begun with the Arrma Granite!
Nice content!! I like that you just run the cars. Run em, use em. Bash em. Thank you for truly showcasing !
Thanks for the kind words and for watching Jay.
I like your thinking outside the box, freaking awesome passes !!
The vendetta front and rear bumper / rear diffuser AND body mounts all fit the 3s granite and senton. I have them on mine and it makes the car 3-4” longer and fits GT8 bodies perfectly along with getting a rear diffuser as a rear bumper
This I needed to know as I want to lower the body because I can't stand how high it sits thanks
The moment I seen this video I knew things would get out of hand. I just ordered a 27t pinion for my senton. Gonna put a 6s esc in her and see what i get.
Nice run man. Good job 😎👍
Great pass brother!
Good stuff!
Flyin’ 🚀🌟
Sounds good!
That sucker was flying let’s goo 😎💯🤜🤛👊💪👍
Nice pass J
Arrma should sponsor your testing, hell no it isn't recommend but it shows what Arena products are capable of with your out of the box thinking. Arrma tough !!
Thanks for the props Jimmy. There's a pretty big group of people around the world that are modding these trucks, and now with the introduction of the new Vendetta, I'm pretty sure many more will.
And here I was nervous about running 4s through the stock motor.
Lol! I do not recommend running 6s on the stock motor, but I have managed to squeeze 105 mph out of one. It might have been glowing red that day, but it got there😉
@@NOTORIOUS_J_RC you think it will hold up to a 4S lipo I saw a video of a hobby shop putting in 120 amp 4s ESC and it worked fine so I did the same to mine but I haven't used it yet
@martinbullla7654 The drive shafts might be a bit delicate if your plan is to use it as a basher. Consider that the Arrma 4s Kraton and Outcast are built off the same platform, but they have key parts that have been upgraded. If your intent is speed runs, nice easy launches help to save the driveline. Cooling is also an issue if running 4s on higher kv small can motors, so better fans on the esc and motor are a must
@@NOTORIOUS_J_RC it's going to be used for both I'll be upgrading everything just like I did in my hoss motor plate heatsink motor fan and the aluminum for the spur gear assembly the ESC I'm running in the granite is a spectrum
Always over compensate your ESC when overvolting, if you're running 4s on a high kv use a 6s esc
Dayym son that's good for the 3200
The best I ever got out of that motor was 105 mph on 6s.
@@NOTORIOUS_J_RC yeah I hit 99 on the 3900kv
5s
I run a 4.5T Fantom on 3S in a 4Tec 3.0 sometimes on 4S!!!!
That's awesome I am running a castle sensored brushless motor as well 5700 kv any recommendations?
That's a very high kv which I'm not really familiar with. Depending on how many cels you plan to run, gonna have to go easy on gearing.
I need like an exact build list because my buddy wants to race my granite with his rlaarlo for pinks and I just can't allow him to win
@alanblack5257 just switch to 17mm hexes and throw in a bigger esc. With better tires and using 4s, up the pinion to the biggest that will fit. If you want really high numbers, you'll have to remove the slipper and add a spool with M1 gear. Get a bigger pinion and smaller spur and it will fly. It will also over heat, so be warned. Your buddy's car is high kv, low weight. Even on 3s they can fly.
@NOTORIOUS_J_RC i don't care if I catch it on fire after the first rip as long as i win
I would like to lower my granite body, can you point me in the right direction pls
Gave you a sub " Wicked stuff bro !
Proline screw on body mounts ? They make them for the 3s senton, granite etc or were you using some meant for another car? Thanks
I just shaved the knobs off the top of the Arrma mounts and drilled holes. Cut the heads of some 3mm screws to whatever length works and screwed them in. Works like a charm
@@NOTORIOUS_J_RC nice okay and no weight to keep the nose down? I can’t believe it isn’t blowing over
Daaaaaaaammmm 😁😁😁
The motor will be okay if you dont run it hard like this, the esc is what you have to worry about, the motor is drawing more amps
I just did this same setup on my typhon. Converted from 3s to what you did. Is it still rollin or did it blow up yet???😳
It's still going strong but I made a custom spool with a 45t spur. Now using a 31t pinion. 83 mph on 4s, 6s pass coming soon.
What wheels are those, I was trying to figure out how you made it to triple digits, you can only go so tall on the gearing but you use tall wheels.
They're GRP S1. It's a stock motor with a Max6 esc running on 6s. Not healthy for the motor but sometimes you just say wtf😂
@@NOTORIOUS_J_RC Those are the most used words in my very limited vocabulary !
How’d you fit those wheels on your granite?
17mm Typhon 3s hexes. Easy conversion
I like them body mounts can someone link them to me
They're from Proline Racing for a Slash. I just ground down the stock mounts, drilled holes down the center and used the hardware from the Slash kit
Worlds fastest?! Nice run
It's made it to 93, so who knows 🤷♂️
What type tires is on that Granite
Those are GRP Revo tires
It might be able to go way faster with better suspension it sounds like its scraping the ground
I've made it to 105 mph. The sound is the front splitter and that's a hack job I did at best, but it needs downforce
How did you mount your ESC
Attached to the cover of the receiver box, usally with two sided or velcro tape.
What Body mount did you put on?
That's an older version of the Granite BLX body👍

Sorry Peter, read your question wrong. Those are from ProLine Racing www.prolineracing.com/pro-line/?q=extended&prefn1=partType&prefv1=Chassis%20Parts I just shaved off the top of the OG mounts, drilled a 3mm hole straight down into the plastic, insert a 12mm long set crew, and the caps screw on.
Nice! Thx, man!
Check out the channel all the best dude 🤟🏻
😅
How did you mount the esc to the receiver box cover? The cover has those 2 protruding screws on the top I’m having issues
