  • Keynote: “Visitors and Residents: A Look Towards Digital Learners' Activity”
    Venue: CosmoCaixa
Digital Visitors & Residents is a model created by David White- Head of Technology-Enhanced Learning, University of the Arts London - used to describe the types of website and digital technology engagement by users. According to this model, anyone can adopt a role of visitor or resident depending on the context or situation, even though certain individuals may generally prefer one role over another. The role of digital visitor is characterized by occasional access to the website that is closely guided to develop a specific task or specific aim and is often instrumental, such as searching for information, downloading documents, sending and receiving messages, etc. However, the role of resident is much more active, as they act much more openly online, sharing information and their own productions with others, using social media intensively, etc.
To present this reality, White will be leading a round table where the participants can trace a map of their profile and digital activity according to the Visitor/Resident, Personal/institutional parameters
