As an Argyle fan I would be happy for Ipswich supporters if they got into the Prem.
Although second to us last season they were the better footballing team have invested well, have great support and an excellent manager.
I wish we had had the same this season.
Good luck to the tractor boys.
Honestly, I'm so disappointed in what Schumacher did to you guys. I really hope you stay up because you deserve to be a Championship team.
Gonna miss Home Park. Schumacher fucked it and himself, should have stayed
Well played Ipswich Town! 1 more point needed. Hope you get to The Premier League.
Ipswich would be the first team since Southampton back in 2012 to win back to back promotions to The Premier League from League One
But it was easier then - no parachute payments. Ipswich have competed against three sides who have all been handed £45m this season for relegation and will get more money for the next two seasons.
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1did you just make that lie up ? Parachute payments started in 06/07 season
They were rewored a few years ago more money now @@Leesy7NUFC
@@Leesy7NUFC different rules and time applied then - it's been extended since
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 you said no parachute payments back then when there was so 🤷🏻♂️
Ipswich’s last promotion from league 1 we needed a point .
The place was like somone had died for a few mins after kick off .
Then within 30 mins we were 4-0 up
The place erupted !
Poor Exeter took the brunt of that.
Hope Ipswich get promoted they definitely deserve it and the achievement of back to back promotions cant be overestimated
Danny back on the gear
Good old Ipswich the likeable team.
Im a Hammers and yea they are a good little club always get a good welcome when we go there.
Only West Ham fans refer to Town as a “good little club”, I find that so condescending. It’s probably never meant derogatory, but yet it still annoys me no end.
@@JohnoK56 No way is it meant like that i go and watch Town sometimes as i am only 30 miles away....but as we speak you cant call them a BIG club like Arsenal Chelae Man c Man u Liverpool etc....but all the same i really wish them well....
@@davemellor4697 well said dave ,I got what you meant .
@@davemellor4697 As I said, you probably never intended to be derogatory, but I find it so patronising. I’m fully aware of our standing within the game and never suggested we are a big club.
Thank you for your best wishes.
An excellent manager who should stay with Ipswich. Ipswich are on the up
Thank you Simon from a ITFC fan x
You would have thought he would have checked the goal difference before launching into how Huddersfield are fighting for their lives.
Mathematically possibly yes, but likely, no.
That would be the turn around of all turnarounds
I would love it if two teams make it to the prem who weren't there last season
Huddersfield “fighting for their very lives”? Amazing that pundits at this level, or indeed any level, can’t read the table. What are the odds on a 15/16 goal swing?
1/500 to survive. Generous odds to achieve the essentially impossible.
If you’ve got a spare £5m stick it on for an easy £10,000. 🙂
Huddersfield would need to win 8-0 against the team in 2nd on the exact same day that Plymouth also lose 8-0. I’d say stranger things have happened, but honestly I don’t think they have.
@@jacobcurle8964 - Yeah, that’s a great way to put it. Sure, it’s not *literally* impossible but the chances of this happening are quite literally astronomical.
Huddersfield beat Ipswich and send up Leeds, their lives will be at risk from their own supporters 😂
This is actually a massive achievement if Ipswich do in fact go up because of the way the financial parachute payments have been introduced since Southampton did it in 2012.
Leeds, Leicester and Southampton have all been given £45/50m this season for relegation and will get another £35m next season.
Yeah they have been phenomenal throughout the campaign
Ipswich have lost only 6 games, 2 against us ( Leeds) they deserve to be promoted. They have a great coach/ manager who has shown how it’s possible to raise the standard of individual players to achieve that ultimate goal! Alaw
Remember the old Ipwhich Town, Under the Great Bobby Robson, Wark, Mills, Gate's, Copper, Have I forgotten anyone
Thyssen and muhren
Cooper, Burley, Mills, Thijssen, Osman, Butcher, Wark, Muhren, Mariner, Brazil, Gates. Kevin Beattie as Sub.
@@johnyeulett7883 super team
@@johnyeulett7883 Paul Mariner great player got few caps for England
Don’t forget Brian Talbot - stunning goal against West Bromwich Albion in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
And Alan Hunter - a rock in defence
Huddersfield are down, they need to win about 15-0 and Plymouth lose to stay up !!
Remarkable achievement, this Ipswich manager should be on Utd radar. If he had a foreign exotic name he’d already be there no doubt.
You know he literally was the assistant manager to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for many years at United
Worked under Jose and then Ole at united - fans thought both him and Carrick were wasters, both gone on to prove themselves to be top coaches
It would be absolutely fantastic to see Ipswich Town come up to the Premier League, it'll also mean I can get some tickets..... which are really hard to get hold of by the way..... to watch The Arsenal!!
You wouldn’t stand a chance of getting tickets, sold out every week
I can remember not so long ago these same pundits were questioning mckennas coaching ability and whether he was good enough for United. They actually said that Mckenna and Carrick were part of the problem. Anything to slate United. I cannot wait until we start winning trophies again. We are fasting the now like but he wont be long before we binge on them again.
Steve Bruce, Ian Holloway, Neil Warnock and Roy Keane also achieved promotion from the championship. Does this mean they were also good enough to coach at the biggest club in England
@@G-fd5ug to coach? Well yes? 😂😂
@@G-fd5ugthose people you mentioned are all better managers than Southgate so yes
Huddersfield cant stay up can they? They are 15 goals behind on goal difference.

Why didn't Simon buy another club after he sold Palace question from the USA

What’s happening with Danny and the faces he’s pulling at the start of the video lol
Ex man united if he was ex city ex Liverpool they would big them up fir bringing him through
Ipswich has to come into PL
I would like also to have Leeds but Farke is an insult for Leeds and serious management
TBF, Leeds started the season off with no squad for at least 10 games. Having to play U21s and 3 goalkeepers on the bench.
@@limpethead i do not like FARKE-otherwise Leeds has to be in PL.
They need Bielsa or Sarri!
Ipswich have a war chest of £105m following the recent sale of 40% of the club. Having said that success has been built on continuity and easing new players in gradually
Im an Ipswich fan and I would say that isn’t much of a war chest for the Prem. also I’m sure some of that money is earmarked for the cobbold stand and training ground both are in stages of planning permission for significant improvements
@@SuperKinlo Yes I would've thought most would go towards longer term infrastructure etc, which won't fall foul of FFP rules.
If there in the premiership next season they will have to rejust how they play football
Most teams in prem are not great
Feel for Ipswich fans they deserve to be all excited etc, but next season you'll be bored to death in that plastic league that has lost its soul, atrocious refereeing I could go on.
I agree, which is why I’ve never fretted too much over whether we get up or not. I’ve enjoyed this season so much being competitive at a decent level again and watching us play some great football at times with no VAR and no smell of corruption (Leicester notwithstanding). I view it as moving to the next level, the mini league of six vying to stay up. Try and get top two in that league, strengthen, then go a little higher the next year. Unless a miracle happens, our ceiling will always be 10th in the PL.
Regardless what Ipswich do in the PL the financial package that comes woth being in the PL trumps everything
Honestly if you'd seen the shocking refereeing that we've had to endure this season then funnily enough VAR would be welcome. Plus, with the amount of teams that look likely to receive points deductions, transfer embargos etc. or teams that have to sell to avoid punishments next season, we actually have a chance to solidify our position there.
Bet hes like whos simon jordan !
They’re not up yet! Don’t count chickens!
It's so exciting to watch probably the same 3 promoted clubs come back down next season
How on earth does Danny Murphy keep his job on talk sports. Continuously looks throughly uninterested and lacks the same amount of knowledge that Jim and Simon do. He’s played the game other than that is not qualified for this job.
Bring him back to UTD with new hungry players and proper structure. He will make sure United gft to top 4 atleast next season
I very much doubt he would ever want to go back
Such arrogance whats special about UTD anyway.
Stay at the mighty tractor boys for a couple more seasons at least
assuming Ipswich get that point &/or Leeds lose, McKenna urgently needs to strengthen his defence. otherwise they'll go straight back down
You don’t reckon do ya 😂
Realistically, we have a number of loan players and a number players with contracts expiring, so will be a summer with a lot of movement.
From current regulars, I’d expect to still be in the squad - Mass, Morsey, Davis, Clarke, Hirst, Chaplin, Broadhead and Burns - a lot may well become squad players over first team regulars, the rest I expect will be gone. Maybe we will sign Axel to a longer contact and I’ll like to take Sarmiento and Omari on perm deals.
We've improved every transfer window, will be 10 fold this summer if we go up
Thankyou captain obvious.....
counting chickens n all that...
We need 1 point and have only lost once at home in the league this season, to Leeds 4-3 very early on.
However until we are at least 2-0 up I won’t be counting my chickens.
Not beyond the realms of possibility that now Huddersfield are relegated their players become more relaxed and actually put in a performance.
@@SuperKinlo gl anyway ;)
What you forgot to mention is that if they lose and Leeds win, Leeds go up on goal difference…

There’s actual Man Utd fans that want Kieran McKenna to become the manager. Even though it’s only the championship and they’ve never watched an Ipswich game. By this logic Neil Warnock should’ve been given a shot at the job too. The same people were talking about Carrick’s credentials as the next manager when Boro got to the league cup semi final. This mediocrity mindset is what will keep that club as the laughing stock of world football. It doesn’t take much to impress or satisfy those supporters anymore
Be great to see Huddersfield win at the weekend
Too late for them to win now.
