fun fact if you plan on keeping factory exhaust parts and just make it a true straight pipe or whatever the case may be.. pull the whole exhaust out of the truck and tack it to a jig so you can cut out pipe and not have to worry about if its still gonna fit on the vehicle
Where was this shit when I was in highschool!?? I sawzall'd everything off behind the y pipe (including the cat) welded in an oxygen sensor bung (they were all upstream back in the day) welded on a 12 glass pack and a turn down. Must've added like 150 horse pressure.
No muffler pipe everyone knows you tig the root, fill with 7018 and cap. On stainless steel exhaust pipe you purge with argon and you can take it all the way out. lol
I could never put exhaust pipe together with a mig with good lightin, a concrete floor, and a good creeper...but I never had a problem with it stayin together with a cracker box burnin tiny 6010s layin on gravel in the dark 😂

Show how we did it in the old days. Rusty pipes 6011 rods and a ac buzz box.
I’ve never seen anything 6011 can’t weld
6010 maybe better in a rust dirty situation, idk
@@sonnysilversmith21566011 is 6010 that can also run AC
Why stick to the old ways? 🤔
I take pride in my work and don't want it to look like crap. I clean and cut out the rot and fix the exhaust properly. I tig when I can.
Fine plumbers sand paper belts also useful in those tight spots
Great point!

Thanks for the tip!
Emory cloth works well when the exhaust is installed. Use a drum sander attachment on your drill to clean inside.
Thanks for the input!
I love this channel 🫡👍🏻
Thank you!
Get yourself a good welding mirror for those places you can't see.
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks
No problem!
i ve always welded mine with a torch
Is there a problem with stick welding ive seen guys do it
I do custom exhaust for a living very fun job
That's cool!

Oh man sorry we're late
Curiosity question-
Is .023 wire S-6 common in exhaust pipe welding…??
Ya only a “little more” difficult lol
Just a smidge

Aight sure
Now show it east cost style with new pipe to old rusty pipe.
Right☠️ it’s easy as pie when everything is new and fits up nice.
Hmmm
Is that hood a pipe liners cloud because that squeak sounds too familiar
Hmmm
What is Harry Potter teaching me this???
He likes welding too

Interesting
That's what I learned on 😂
Awesome!
Definitely too thin for stick. There are car pipes that are made of SS or Titanium, for intake or exhaust, those are very expensive.
Thanks for the info!
Where's flex head mig gun ? That's what the pros use under the car.
You can use that if you have one

Cool glasses man😂👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks it’s meant to be worn under any hood
Nah fam
Why not?
Is it okay to tig weld it
If you really want to
