"I'm pretty sure if they get her medication right, that will never happen again" LOL xD
Eurovision in one phrase
"I've asked around and no one understands it"
Graham's affection for the contest shines through despite the barbs. With Wogan, it didn't, at least not after Ireland stopped winning.
Gotta love Graham Norton, pretty sure he's the only reason British people watch this :')
Dying after his comment post the Albanian song:
"I'm pretty sure, if they get her medication right, that will. never. happen. again."
My chest hurts,.......so much uncontrollable laughter.
How does he get away with those comments.
I think it's funny how BBC replaced Wogan by Norton, I guess there is a part in the British law that demands Eurovision commentator to be Irish. I'm not complaining, Graham is HILARIOUS in his cruel way, greetings from Finland!
I cannot even begin to describe how much I love Graham! Back in 2003 when I started watching Eurovision for the first time we happened to see it on BBC (even though I've never lived in the UK) and we laughed our a**es off at his commentaries. I had no idea whom that voice belonged to. Years later I discovered the Graham Norton show and fell in love. Years later I finally found out that they are the same person! :D
I love watching Eurovision with his commentaries so much that I get upset every time I don't have access to BBC.
Love you, Graham! Stay cool forever!

Sorry to spoil it, but Terry Wogan was the commentator back in 2003. Graham Norton only started in 2009.
NiGHTSFangirl Yep, as someone else already corrected me on another video, I apologise for the mistake. I was much younger back then and wasn't aware of anything British, let alone the two different people behind the voices commenting on Eurovision. I've learned the facts later on. Again - sorry for the mistake.
*****
I'm talking about the time period I referred to in my first comment - the first years that I was watching Eurovision - from 2003 onwards.
***** That's some very interesting information. Thanks very much! I've been interested in British culture for a long time and I do love how you guys (I'm guessing you're British?) are able to laugh at yourselves. I think that's an admirable ability that shows self-confidence. I am Bulgarian and think we need more of that ourselves. One of my favourite examples is 'Allo! 'Allo! where all nationalities are made fun of, but especially the British! :)
In general I really love British humour and why do you think I switch to BBC to watch Eurovision instead of any local channel? Honestly, please stay this cool forever!
I love this guy 😂 Maybe I should travel to England next year during the eurovision just to hear him comment it😆
There's more to the United Kingdom than just England, love. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland exist as well, mind! 🙄🙄
I love how other Europeans get so offended by this. It's all humour. The UK are crap at Eurovision recently so we have to find something entertaining. And, for the record, Graham Norton is from the Republic of Ireland so is therefore not British but foreign.
***** Not true, an Irish person outside of ROI is considered in a foreign country, but the cultures are quite close as they were the same country till 1922.

Ian P do they?
I laughed my bollocks off and I am Swiss...not usually considered a haven for humour.
comment for Albania about medications got me crying😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Somewhere a Greek finance minister is saying a silent prayer that they dont actually win" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was during the time Greece was plunged into poverty with a ridiculous deficit! And the rest of us had to bail them out!
Next up Albania. Now this will put the fear in your heart: she’s a devoted, experimental jazz vocalist.
Unusual this year, lots of strong singers. Now to disprove my point, there they’ll are. (Jedward)
Graham I simply love you 😂
I always love the British commentary! It's just genius! XD
This was the only year I've really loved our own commentary though since Sweden's at the moment most famous TV profile Gina Dirawi was commenting.
But otherwise: GO GB!! Greetings from Sweden!
Now this will put fear into your heart. She's a devoted experimental Jazz musician.
Graham I love you :D
I absolutely adore british humor. I'm from Sweden, which might not be the funniest country in the world, and I just love the way brits joke around.
this only works if you then show all the things he is commenting about during the postcards
Lol, "if you've got dogs or small children in the room, you might want to place them out of earshot." Graham Norton really does take the piss in Eurovision
Hahaha Kaliopi Gril sounds like a restourant....
If you don't get his humor you don't get British humor :)
Allan Reid Sorry I thought he was from Northern Ireland but when I looked it up he was born in Dublin. But same difference, the humor remains the same.
Graham Norton's the only reason I watch Eurovision, haha.
I Love Graham Norton!! :DD
I love him, sooo looking forward to Saturday to see what he comes up with this year lol
I wish the swedish commentators could be like this XD our commentators are more "neutral" Our humour seems to be quiet the same though.
Me and my family loves to watch brittish humour shows like Mr Bean and most of all fawty towers
If Graham Norton was the Danish commentator I would watch the show every year
I love our sense of humour, i noticed Sweden also have a similar sense of humour too after Melodifestivalen and Petra Mede always make me wet myself :3
Vi älskar dig Sverige
I LOVE YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i looved the comment of the greek prime minister ahaha
True and the irish commentator on RTE Marty Whelan takes the piss also out of the whole show. He can be hilarious.
If you look at the audience 4 Albania's entry they have all gone to pee their ears hurt so much.
hahah the little grill barbeque comment!
Because his employers, the BBC, select the British act. He has to be supportive as they're all on the same team.
He did affectionately take the piss out of the Irish entry (and he's Irish).
Was half expecting some Rattlesnake
he like terry is verry good at ad -lib. hes brilliant
Hey +FAT Dave Do you have the whole of that
he's part of british culture though
why th negative votes, he is Irish, did people not know?
Coloured eggs lol.
a little grill:)
God you lot need to calm down! We are British, we laugh at ourselves more than anybody else. Some people are so far up their own arses it's unreal...
Oh take it with a pinch of salt & welcome to British culture! We take the piss out of everything and everyone. & Yes we are crap at eurovision but our commentaries are the best! :P
Kaliopi Grill!!!!!
Bravo My brother Azerbeijan ❤
Oh, Malta.
i was there
2.54 LOL
I love Graham Norton XD I can't believe he gets away with saying some of this, even in Britain.
lol i guess a lot of people don't get british humor. i laughed my arse off cuz what he says is true...especially azerbijan's postcard thingies..it's like how many times can they show the posh areas of baku..most pple live in poverty cuz of all the nepotism
Well, it could get pretty awkward as he probably has to work directly with the British act in the weeks running up to the final. Difficult and unprofessional to make sarky comments about a colleague.
But sometimes the British coverage is overly sneering, can come across as "look at these funny Johnny-foreigners!". I think Graham has taken it down a notch or two from Wogan-levels, his humour is a little softer in delivery.
we didnt spend all our pennies we have from them a lot dear UK.
WTF was Albania
5:10 is the national holiday.. Novruz Bayrami :D And those were the characters.. It's a new year kind of thing :D What is weird is that we celebrate both Novruz and New year.. So yeah, we didn't just "run out of the things to show" =D
You can tell that Norton's background is in TV rather than radio; he tends to gabble and his voice often tails off at the end of sentences. This is a real pity because, when you can decipher what he's saying, it's often very funny.
and that statement makes you look really classy.
And were is the funny moment?????????
Love it,But hate it too.He could be a Bit nicer.Soluna did good and Ivi was not dancing on the grave of education.
P.S.This dude is the reason Greece didn't get in the top 10 this year.
Don't get me wrong, I like his style, but his sarcastic humour should go either both ways or no ways at all.
How come he's not sarcastic to British singers but everyone else? I think there's a little hypocracy there. :)
WTF?
Neither Terry Wogan or Graham Norton are British..... So they entire ''British humour'' is rendered useless!!!
I don't find him all that funny I'm afraid. I get the feeling he just wants to end up quoted a load of times on Twitter.
He's one deeply confused individual. Bit like Terry Wogan. They can keep them both tbh.
Was half expecting some Rattlesnake
why th negative votes, he is Irish, did people not know?
