After reading all the complaints about suction, it actually impressed me🌼 The suction is not great but very good regarding the complaints. I’m happy with it so far and hope it doesn’t get the power problems I read about. So far all I can say: it’s a DEWALT!

Nice bit of kit. I have the super 20L or 30L and it great as well. My aircon was blocked and this is why I bought one. Sucked all the crap that had built up over the year from the drainage pipe and saved myself the call out fee and hourly rate for aircon engineer and paid for the hover price on what I saved. In one home that I'd rented twenty five years ago or so there was a broken down central vacuum system. It had all of the hoses, tubes and attachments but needed a new motor. Instead I bought a big ShopVac and hooked it up to the main tube in the basement, and plugged it into the socket that the original until was plugged into. That was a nice thing to have for a few years until I moved.
The applications that you've mentioned,( garage and workshop) is just what it was made for. They do release more dust than a domestic cleaner.

I didn't know that Shop Vacs were even available outside of North America, but boy, that is a tiny little thing! Even though that Shop Vacs are designed to be used in a workshop or a garage, I actually know someone who used a Shop Vac as their primary vacuum in their home for awhile, since there is an optional rug and floor tool you can get for these.
I have an old 4 gallon (15 Litre) American made Shop Vac brand wet/dry vacuum that’s been around since 1992, compared to the new versions that are out now, it performs better and is actually quieter than the new ones too

shop vacs are very popular here in the US. I have one that mounts on the wall. I keep it next to the car in the garage for cleaning the car out

the funny thing is is I live in America and I know shop-vacs aren't really common in the UK I know you can get a couple types of shop-vacs there but I bought this 3 gallon traffic that looks pretty similar to this and it's a wonderful little machine but it's extremely loud is yours as loud as it sounded on camera

There was a famous cereal advert here in North America in which some older siblings always gave their little brother Mikey some new food to taste! Try and search for this famous advert on UA-cam.
My dad bought a new vacuum, but that’s not the vacuum. My dad bought there was red and one more color or I don’t know.

and, its small size is good. When my dishwashers drain valve failed, it sucked up everything. Mine was even smaller though, no casters, but a mounting bracket and a very long hose
I have yet to use it, but I'm sure I can come up with some fun demonstrations.

Blanche was probably a very good sucker in her day. The beard fell off when I received a near fatal shock from a Dysoon.
