I will do an introductory video on it and see if there is any interest, if video gets at least 100 likes (100 people interested) I'll make series, in the meantime check out my other dpf videos search here on UA-cam: GLOBAL Commerce dpf
I think it is a safety feature, you could not exit the program once you initiated reading or writing the ecu so you will not end up with a bricked ECU.
II have tried an Hyundai/Kia with my KT200. You must get the password first via OBD, without the bootmode wires connected. You do not select Password BFT like it says in the connection pictures. Instead choose "OBD PASSWORD TPROT V11 KIA-HYUNDAI". It will read the password and hold it in memory. Now you can read and write in Boot mode without issue. In my case it was an MEDG17.9.8, but should work the same as your Sim2k-240. By the way, the original tool is called DFOX. KT200 was the first clone of Dfox. Then another Chinese group took the Dfox and coned it into the Foxflash. The KT200 doesn't need that small extension, so it is a bit cleaner/ As well it looks like it has better feet than what is on the foxflash, but otherwise the same tool.
Excellent video, thank you for your time and troubles. How can you identify the make and model from the ecu part number. Is there a PC software that can help decipher the ecu's make and model. Thanks
Hi on the ecu will usually have the manufacturers part number, for example bosch usually starts with 0261 , Google the complete number will tell you chipset
Obdstar dc706 I prefer as it's an original supported product but does not currently support all the ecms as foxflash, but they are adding many monthly, video on this coming soon!
Hope to have this tool fix my 18 Hyundai tuscon tl 1.6 turbo g4fj and 7dct trans . I cannot get any help with Hyundai and apparently 2months before it can be seen.
Great review. Problems with clone ecu programmers you will soon buy another Chinese clone because there aren't updates. When updates are available it will be put on another hardware with a different brand.
IO terminal does good on OBD reading but foxFlash gives a lot more ECM and options via bench and boot mode.. This one has a lot more coverage but is dependent on Chinese servers.. there's a risk they can go down some day.. what day you may ask? That's the million dollar question..
Hello, thanks for a great video, on a Hyundai ecm, if you get a used ecm, it will start and drive normally, but cant change the vin# will this clone change the vin # thanks
FC200 is an original tool, i really like it. Support is good has good coverage for bosch ecu, if it supports the ecus you use I think it's a better product. However foxFlash covers different types of ECU such as continental etc, but the major issue to me is a risk the servers go away someday and the tool becomes unusable... It will come down to your particular needs and how much you trust "CHINESE SERVERS"...

Would you recommend the fox flash vs the obdstar cloner? I looking to purchase some stuff from your store to support my *new* favorite YT channel

Hey bro, can you input this flash into another car of the same year and model and also will it work?
Sir, is this device capable to clone a continental simos10.2 for a 2017 VW passat 1.8? Or is there any other which support it? Thanks...
Have you used any functions with a gpec2a?
My friend, from which site did you buy it, thank you 👍

For some reason I can hear you fine but only see a blank black image the whole time.
Try again might be on your end just tested it and it's working..
