As an old 70 year old woman I would say start building a new boat now….when they start putting those bike boxes in the dumpster grab then …double layer the boat… put your seat more in the middle so it won’t be so heavy in the rear… use flex seal tape and flex seal paint
I agree. I would make it longer, more like a canoe, so Lex isn’t having to stretch too much to paddle. I would also teach him to paddle in the pond next summer. lol it’s not cheating to learn how to paddle, right?! 😂
I would check the bottom of apple boxes and the bike box. I believe they are waxed . I do believe. Take a piece of the wax part. Place the wax part in the water see if it floats. Just an idea I thought about. It looked like the bike boxes had wax on the inside. Have a wonderful day

Levi loves his Uncle Dan that’s so sweet how he always cuddles up to Dan. I wish my family was as close as y’all’s family. I had 2 uncles that I just loved my mom’s brother Uncle James and my Uncle Babe my Uncle James was a truck driver and he was such a nut he was always telling jokes. My Uncle Babe was a lot like Dan he was always picking on me. Sadly both are gone now and I miss them terribly!!

I hope that you start saving cardboard early on. Check the bottom of the boxes for the weight strength in the seal. Anything under 250 is a weak cardboard. U-haul sells boxes in all kinds of strength
