As an engineer, i didn't get the joke about physics & math making fun of engineering until i saw that apparently we say pi = e = 3 often enough that it's a thing. I have never seen this abomination in my life nor do i ever want to see it again. But seriously chemistry has absolutely no business sitting on that couch.
I mean chemistry can be quite rigurous at times. Like chemistry struggles a lot to find explanations for things that are really hard to explain, that's the only reason we have to approximate a lot of things and we only do it if it fits the experimental data
Back in 1991, I was taking Unv. Physics 102 and the physics instructor started the first day by asking the class what specialties in physics we were interested in. As the hands rose and fell she just nodded with approval until one student said theoretical physics. Immediately her face frowned and she said "oh kid that's a waste of time. You have no idea what theoretical physicists do!" I was shocked that a physicist would eat their young like that.
Either once a week or once a month (cuz you can sort by top of the month), so you won't miss any top posts. Or you can sort by top of all time for your next episode.
Well about that chemistry one, honestly no engineers don't look down on us, we bascially do physics, but more specifically, I've used QED in computational chemistry for example, some fields approximate QM a huge amount but that's not always the case, by far
Haha, I think that F = d/dt (mv) is actually better than m*int(adot)... The former also works in case you don't have a constant mass system, like a rocket
G'day Andrew, I've been a lurker for awhile now. To preface my question, I'm just starting my undergraduate degree in about a week, I'm also teaching myself a lot of physics and math so hopefully I should eventually be miles and miles ahead of my classes. I'm thinking of starting my own UA-cam videos of similar content. So my question to you is what equipment should I have to start. From hardware to software to things like lighting and tripods. :)
Man, I don't like almost everyone saying that engineers are rich because they are "engineers." WTH, I have a lot of friends (I'm an engineering student by the way) who have trouble looking for work because a damn technician can do everything they do and cheaper, and that's completely fun for me😂.
The one with the seal got me or the "dinsosaur egg with deal face"😂 however its also accurate to say when I look down from the board in phys chem just for 2 seconds then look up I'm unsure how it's humanly possible to write so much extra stuff in that time 😂
Pure chemistry is more about trying to maximize yield, in chemical engineering it's about the speed-yield balance. This might be what they are referencing.
You don't need to watch Infinity war to get the joke, it's supposed to be sin(os)/cos(os)= tan(os), which is like Thanos. Don't need to watch Infinity war to get a stupid joke.
"What's a chemist doing in there though?" Brutal taketown.
The geologist is outside :'(
It was 5 seconds after I became happy that there was my man in that meme.
I liked the double slit one. That was perfectly executed.
Why thank you
@@varunshah3290 Are you the legend behind the meme?
@@nathandaniel5451 I'm glad to say that I am. I also made the flat earth one and the one about failing my quantum exam

What? In my university's engineering departments, people get negative points for even assuming pi=3,1. Do you really assume "pi = e = 3" that much?
I mean chemistry can be quite rigurous at times. Like chemistry struggles a lot to find explanations for things that are really hard to explain, that's the only reason we have to approximate a lot of things and we only do it if it fits the experimental data
Pi=e=3 is really more of a joke than anything. It's useful if you need to approximate something quickly in your head, but that's about it
Engineers build mankind. And build impressive things. What does a physicist do?
A vector is an element of a vector space.
ooooo
I feel the pain
what's the problem? Im a math major
What's wrong? lol You can't talk about a vector without defining your vector space. I'm a physics student btw lol.
Isnt vector just an matrix
Came for the physics memes, stayed for the cute hair
Definitely the gamma one

Formula used 84 million times in a semester? That is not an approximation, but an addiction.
So... anyone wanna talk about that Anti-vaccination joke at 6:51? 😂
That was a good one

Man I wish your channel was still active! I’ve learnt a lot as a high school student from your channel.
That double slit one. *claps in waves*

Please do this every week, i LOVE IT

Well i don't know about usa, but in italy an engeneer who say that pi=e=3 is punishible by crime.
"what am I? a flat earther?" That broke me
asking what a vector is in 4th year physics is a Mood
These honestly kill me. Fav was the "out looking for standard models" one.

I like this so more frequently pls, but ur studies come first bucko

partition function form path integral is quite easy you, just have to set t=-iBeta*h_barre.
though I might be wrong I'm a simple engineer (chemical)
How often? These are all you need to do.

Im a Junior in mechanical engineering and not once have we ever approximated pi or e to be 3 or g to be 10. The memes are still funny tho
He got that ice on his wrist!
Are these all the first meme review?
Do it once a month
Love ur videos👍👍👍
Wait, what's a vector again?
Shame on the engineer who submitted the first meme to a physics channel.
It's easy sin(os)by cos(os) is tan(os)
