I’ve had a few platforms tradingview by far suits me 100% , I’m only swing trading but for a pretty good scanner and use a friend charts top shelf and well priced, interactive brokers is integrated now but slow real slow I execute on my phone app easy as
I like tradingview bc it got every indicator i use and best time to get it is now Black Friday
agree with everything you reviewed, for beginners it is a good starting.. for technical analysis. Good cover ! thanks
Hi Chris, Do you have a video review on ActiveTick? Thanks for the video!
@@broncocat1867 It depends which markets you are trading. For US stocks you are right, either the providers are very expensive or it is not supported. For futures, tick by tick data is more common.
@@VerrilloTrading We're starving for alternatives in Canada. I was also looking at ProRealTime, but again, I would have to use it as an API tie-in to Interactive Broker. I really want something with the performance level of LightSpeed. I would be happy to pay for it, but it seems scalping is frowned down upon in Canada. It sucks. Looking at UA-cam videos for the American style platforms, the data is night and day comparing to what we get here. If the data is consolidated, it isn't true data. They call it "Real Time", but it's not if they're holding back information. It's absurd. The thing about IB is, you can get better executions from the Book Trader, than you can from the Chart Trader, so I know the brokerage itself has the capacity to offer good executions, but the charting feed is so delayed (consolidated, messed with) that it doesn't matter. Your order will always be late and your slippage will always be significant if you base your orders on what the TWS chart says. It's disgusting. I have to wonder if this is on purpose. I suspect the brokerages with consolidated chart data are making additional funds off the spread. There's nothing wrong with that, if they're honest about it, but I strongly suspect it's their dirty little secret, especially with the brokerages that offer zero commissions.
Very on point and right on time video. Great stuff. Affiliate or not. Thanks!
Well, who wants to screw around with chop? Are a few milliseconds really going to help You out with extra scalping broker commissions?
Can you make the charts themselves look better/identical in Sierra to how they look in Tradingview?
Most probably it would be possible with some configuration. Although I do not understand why this would really matter in the bigger perspective. The functionality available in Sierra is far beyond most other retail platforms and when traders learn about those things is when they admit that they don’t need anything else.
@@encapsulatio were they on this thread? I did not see any other comments.
@@VerrilloTrading UA-cam seems to make them invisible and I did not even post any links.
Does this allow back testing of fundamentals, such as PE ratio, or Insider Trading changes, or Institutional Investment, or Debt/Equity ratios ?
For trading platform execution i would use alternatives but for charting its good enough
Alternatives like what? I'm considering getting a premium account since they have 60% Cyber Monday discount for 10 more hours, hehe.
Can't I integrate it with IBKR and use it for swing trading, where I get in into a trade and get out within seconds or minutes?
@@robel3786 ninja w full license bc lower commission also if u got $1k to invest; motivewave good platform also
Nice
I see platform not working 3-4 times a day.
We've seen it lag quite a bit especially near market open or when certain crypto symbols are experiencing high volatility. We found other providers to be more consistent and reliable regarding data transmission.
@@VerrilloTrading Thanks! This is exactly what I'm experiencing and I strongly believe, it won't change if I start to pay for the service. I've also noticed, that my otherwise simple custom coded indicators are not getting executed in timely manner.
If you’re Trading with Trading View, your data is incapable of allowing you to see important information which translated means you’re trading with an enormous disadvantage. You don’t know what you don’t know.
I guess it depends on what kind of data the person requires. Your idea is true for traders who need that detailed bid/ask tick data.
If you used it for 3 years, I figure you'd would have a positive reception of it.
Too bad Sierra Charts doesn’t have a discount for Black Friday.
Instalike!
lighspeed is good if u got big account
they also recently added a heat map for stocks (and crypto), great feature imo
