If you want to be fully 'outraged' but a sample pack of Fragrance du Bois and test them the same way you did with these ones (reading the prices)... You're in for a treat
170 perfumes... OMG, that number suggests me to not even look at this brand... reminds me Xerjoff strategy - roll out as much as possible and see if anybody buys some. Some time ago I have spent 3 days just to smell of all Xerjoff (+Kemi +Casamorati) and at the end didn't find anything that was interesting enough to justify the price.
I haven't smelled a Boadicea the Victorious but I do like the bottle design if we want to bring up something positive, haha. Don't think a sample pack is coming in my direction either with that reaction and those prices. I could imagine some more artsy indie house actually naming the first one dollhead or maybe welcome to the dollhouse, one of my favorite movies.
I'm sorry that your perfumes are hard to find, especially here in Serbia. Try to include them in some sales niche "list" that circulates and appears once a month. I think it originates from some wholesalers from Hungary. I love your reviews, keep it up. Greetings.
The high prices are surely a clever marketing thing. (some) Rich people want to buy things that are expensive to signal to others their status and there are a lot of very wealthy frag collectors out there who will buy anything with a high price tag on them blindly. It's meant to be displayed, that's why the bottle is very finely crafted. At least that is one type of display of wealth. A lot of people want to signal their social status with the right opinions these days. Luck up Rob Henderson Luxury Beliefs if you want to deep dive into that one.

I tried getting into this brand but just couldnt. All their stuff has a herbal medicinal scent, and the pricing is horrible, not to mention that most of their fragrances share the same notes but different prices which is dumb
Maybe a couple of ideas. One for a video and one for a series. Now I don't know how much work would be required so I apologize in advance. I don't think the general public has any idea about the cost of raw perfume materials. So to that point if you were to make a hypothetical fragrance and the materials you used were of the highest end like the Ensar ouds, White Ambergris, Rose de mai, pink pepper etc. If you bumped the oil concentration to the extremes like 50% how much would that cost just the materials? Then how much would you have to charge to make it profitable for you? Then if you compared that price to Boadicea maybe it would hit home what the true value is in a fragrance and encourage others to be mindful of what they are getting for their money. The idea for a series would be once a month take a brand and break down the reasonable cost of their most expensive bottle. You could look at Creed, Roja Dove Roja Parfums Chypre Extraordinaire Parfum, Frederick Malle The night, Fragrance DU Bois, Tom Ford, Chanel etc. Do your best to get the notes and then break down the cost in your opinion of the raw materials, a reasonable profit and what you would expect to pay. Then look at what the company is charging and weighing in any and all factors is the consumer is getting reasonable value for dollar or whether the retailer is just hosing the consumer.
Difficult to do accurately, because you're guessing at the materials used.. you could also run the risk of "slander" and getting in trouble with the brand, you have to keep these things as personal opinion, not fact.. With looking at any brand, you're not sure exactly where they source their materials or what they're paying for them. In general I can take an educated guess based on what I am personally smelling. In general if a brand is charging £600+ for a bottle, there's absolutely no way it's worth that.
I only tried a couple from this house and was not impressed. They reminded me of Byredo in terms of quality and construction. The market seems to be inundated with underwhelming niche houses. Pretty bottles, little substance, absurd prices.
Dude, you should not be able to choose your own samples!!! You made some horrible choices. I hope you get a chance to smell Carbon Sapphire,Blue Sapphire,Tobacco Sapphire and Valiant.
That’s fair, maybe they have some decent scents. But I guess the point of this video was that they have lost their shame to ask that much for those generic smelling ones that Peter has tried.
Oh gee, I wish it were smell a vision... need to buy me some samples 😌... looking happy Peter, hope you're having a better 2023 💛💫
Thank you Meredith
When we all live in the Matrix we have Smell-O-Vision :D
Shooketh to the coreth! LOVE

I can imagine! the one I smelled from them was rubbish
@elGonzk beware! Demi will come and trash you in the comments after that!

Those prices 🤯 Shooketh to the coreth 😆 Call that review "625". Medical lab techs are not the only ones taking the piss! 🚽
There's one for sale on the site for £1,300!

I did indeed! incredible isn't it!

Carbon Sapphire is £745, I think it's safe to assume you're being royally ripped off.
