Clark balled out today
CC in the same week beat both Diana Taurasi (Phoenix) and Breanna Stewart (New York), two UConn National champions who have bitter resentment towards Caitlin Clark when she was at Iowa. IMO, their resentment is towards Caitlin's NIL (name, image, likeness) deals she had in college which has been reported to be worth $3 million and all of it came before she arrived at the W.
She can lead the team to beat 2 olympians, 3 olympians, but she can't beat 4 yet. Her coach caught a clue here by benching wallace and wheeler, now she needs to stick by her guns and keep her team running and gunning. They are not a halfcourt offense team anymore, they are a 7 second dantoni suns team now.

To me Clark looks so much less relaxed in press conferences than during college, I just hope she is doing well. Must be a crazy reality being almost a cult leader without asking for it.

OK Maybe Sides is learning now after 20 games. Wheeler and Wallace need to never be in the game at same time and in the 4th quarter period. Sides needs to quit running CC as off guard for half the game. how would Chicago feel if Witherspoon would put Angela Reese at point guard or off guard and keep her out of the paint for 20 minutes each game. How many consecutive double doubles would she have?

Quita, you have a great channel. But, some things you say are just WNBA PR talking points and pushed narrative, and a bunch of it is just untrue.
You claim the WNBA is a physical league. But, in that same argument, point the commenters towards international and the coming Olympic ball as if it was yet more physical. You can't be the 'softest' women's league and claim to be physical at the same time. Which is it?
About the league being physical. You can not just dismiss some comments that complain about it without looking into the complaint further. The problem with it, is the shoddy, officiating that goes with it. These officials suck, they miss calls all the time, obvious calls, and they have no consistency from minute to minute. I agree with you, the NBA is soft, it sucks because of it. 80s-90s NBA was just fantastic. But, you cant dismiss your commenters as if they are just new fans, only here for Clark. I would suggest a good number of the 'new fans' are just basketball fans. Clark has just given them a reason to give the WNBA another look.
On a slight target to that, you (as well as other WNBA propagandists) are saying that the eyes Clark has brought are extending to other teams, other players. Sure, sounds great! However, you are also arguing that the Clark fans are only watching the Fever games and therefor ignorant of how the other games are physical also. Cant have these things both ways. I think it's fair to say that some may only watch Clark, some may only have the ability to watch Clark as the other games are not televised at the same rate, but a good number of them are watching more than just Fever games. It's not logical to believe that the other teams had a massive fan base and the only thing needed for them to come out was someone drafted to another team. That's silly.
The argument that the league is just full of good players and its hallmark is fundamental quality is just incorrect. The achievement Reese has made this year is a prime example for why it is not. 11 consecutive double-doubles is an embarrassingly low number. Where are all the dominant stars from the past? This is not an issue of just competitive play. If it was, than you dont have 'stars', just players who should be, who the league needed to be...
There are far too many airballs, missed layups, single digit scoring quarters, to dismiss anyone who is critical of the league. The league does have good players, but you lose the argument when you try to push too hard about this.
More could be written on how ''physicality'' is a euphamism for institutionalized abuse... The WNBA has been run by a Bully Club that abuses each new class - new members are only accepted after both taking the abuse and then dishing it out on others. The W has the highest rates of injury of any basketball association. Rookies, who have played their whole lives with no major injury, often suffere a major injury within their first months. Concussions, broken tendons.... Clark already had her eardrum ruptured. Brink was hip checked, no bball play, while going for a shot and had her knee wrecked...
