How to Sync Audio + Video Using Ableton Live and VDMX - Visual Performance Tutorial

    In this video tutorial, Dubspot course designers Benton-C Bainbridge and V Owen Bush take us inside Vidvox's VDMX software--the application at the center of our new Visual Performance Program--and offer a glimpse at some of the concepts and techniques that will be explored in the course.
    In our second Visual Performance video tutorial, Dubspot course designer V Owen Bush of Glowing Pictures explains how to synchronize audio and video in VDMX and demonstrates step-by-step how to sync VDMX with Ableton Live. He further offers some tips on using audio to manipulate visuals and isolating, modifying, and assigning specific audio frequencies to visual elements.

    as far as I can tell the audio analysis use of bass is due to speaker output and microphone input, not a direct link to the source....is there a better way to pick a source for audio analysis directly?

    The Max for Live parts are all custom and from what I've been told (by e-mailing back and forth with the programmer who worked on the show) they had to create a custom media server to play the video from

    How can this be done between 2 different computer when one is taking care of the video and the other taking care of audio.

      well, just rout audio signal from one laptop to another and use it as an imput for VDMX? you can also send clock

    Is it possible to send the line input of the bass itself instead of the filter 1 for exposure value.? Kick drum output to the effect straight.
