Hi there, thanks for being here :) As I explain in the second half of my latest video (Final Battle lyrics), Miyazaki expects us to use our imagination to fill in the lore gaps he left behind. Each one of us can imagine what the choir would have sung. Sadly, they sing gibberish, but let's not that halt our imagination ;)
That's the curious part: even though most of the lyrics in the game are just syllables generated by a software, From Soft actually hired singers to sing them. I revealed the name of two of them already in the Rykard's official lyrics video and in the video 'Elden Ring song of the bats explained' which I published 4 months ago.

It’s amazing that the voice sounds are made out of the vocal instrument sounds (the keyboards I used only usually have oohs and ahh voices. I am really fascinated with the musical score on these video games. It’s so good that it could actually be used on Hollywood motion pictures.

Actually, only the lyrics were made in vocal sample libraries, but the vocals we hear in the game's soundtrack are from a Hungarian choir, so even though the lyrics are gibberish, a professional choir was hired to record them ^^ That goes for Elden Ring. Many games out there really use voice sounds as you mentioned :)

The final battle lyrics originally were in Latin, but they were altered to become 'gibberish', I am trying to find out how the original lyrics were, I already have the lyrics sung by the choir :)
Hey, a Hungarian guy here who is actually a big Elden Ring fan. :D I was more than surprised when I first heard that these were recorded at Budapest Film Orchestra. I've just found your channel because I've been looking for the lyrics of Elden Ring musics for quite a long time (actually since I heard the music of Godrick). My absolute favourite tracks from the game are Godrick the Grafted and Starscourge Radahn. I go back to these awesome pieces of music very often. Could you give us a lyrics about them too one day? Love your videos by the way! And woow, I was very surprised about the info that these were generated by a software. It's a little disappointment for me, but it's just cause I grew up on God of War games, and the composers (at least the main composer Gerard Marino) used real words that reflected the story and sounded good at the same time. :D For example "The End Begins" from GoW II. But there are tons of other tracks from GoW like that.

Just been looking through your vids enjoying the ost and reading along with the lyrics, but wanted to note my thoughts on the phase one/two shift in focus on the lyrics I think that the lyrical focus has some importance to Godfrey's role, both as the first lord and as badlands chieftain. Even if the lyrics are nonsensical I think that the focus on lyrics is still significant The first phase having the lyrics more in focus could be symbolic of/signifying his lordship, as he while at first he was a fierce warrior who helped Queen Marika to wage war and spread the golden order (phrasing?), he was still Elden Lord, and had to conduct himself as such, carrying the beast Serosh on his back to help contain his bloodlust and desire for combat. To me, the focus on lyrics feels reminiscent of him having subjects beneath him, and a choir or designated singers could be closer representing his subjects or simply singing his phrases as the first Elden lord (lost my train of thought a tad) However, the sparse lyrics behind the musical focus could be interpreted as closer to chants and war cry behind the rhythm of the battle. Now without Serosh on his back and proclaiming himself once more as warrior - as we see now on his health bar in phase 2 - his royal status and lordship behind him, he cares for nothing more than the fight at hand. After all, a crown is warranted with strength. Just thought id note this while it raced through my mind, love the videos so much :D

I've been watching your videos for a while, got to know you by the organ version of the Ludwig from bloodborne, and I am not sure, but the only game from FromSoftware that looks like there is actual latin/translatable lyrics in mostly of the OST is Bloodborne? Even so I am not sure, since as far my almost zero knowledge of Latin goes, one word can mean I don't know how many stuff even with the way you pronounce, so it is really hard to sing actually "making sense" without the proper deep knowledge, because is really complex.
Hi there, Harumi. Thank you for being here :) I never contacted Bloodborne's music producers nor did I thoroughly analysed its soundtrack, but I think you are correct. I intend to investigate the matter someday. Latin is indeed tricky,after I got the lyrics of the song of lament I gave up on trying to transcribe more lyrics and decided to confirm the truth with those who made them. I'm glad I chose that. I would be wasting my time trying to perceive Latin in these gibberish lyrics. Not sure if it'd be a good idea to try to transcribe Bloodborne's either, the orchestral sounds and chorus' pronunciation tend to hinder any attempt at an accurate transcription; that's why contacting the producers is the best choice.
Another good video. The last day I randomly found this video: ua-cam.com/video/gVG925WbErM/v-deo.html Wich is the unreleased ost for Margit. It's basically a different version of the Malenia's ost. Now, I don't ask you to make a video about them, but the vocals sound different. Could they hold meaning? Probably just not... I would also recommend to do, for the next videos, either Fortis or the Final Battle osts. They have a lot of "s", if I hear correctly

I only wish to release those lyrics once I have confirmed everything about them. If I can't, I'll just publish what the choir sings. I have no lyrics named Fortissax, but there's no here under the title 'Ancient Dragon', gotta check it out here if it belongs to Fortissax.
@@AntoniusTertius I do recommend to look into the dark souls 3 unreleased soundtracks, because they're quite good, if you're interested in the unreleased work of Kitamura. But obviously they don't have a choir, and so I won't ask you to cover them in a video, obviously. If I need to be of some help, to decide if the "ancient dragon" ost is the one of Fortis, then I hear a lot of "br", or generally stuff with "r"
The alternate Malenia theme (the Margit one) is just a sampled version of the Malenia theme. That's a sampled choir, sounds a lot like DS3, so i very much doubt there's any lyrics since it's not an actual choir as opposed to the actual Malenia theme. Pretty sure they just threw it on Margit because they didn't have the actual track ready at that point in time.

I've been watching your videos for a while, got to know you by the organ version of the Ludwig from bloodborne, and I am not sure, but the only game from FromSoftware that looks like there is actual latin/translatable lyrics in mostly of the OST is Bloodborne? Even so I am not sure, since as far my almost zero knowledge of Latin goes, one word can mean I don't know how many stuff even with the way you pronounce, so it is really hard to sing actually "making sense" without the proper deep knowledge, because is really complex.

I never contacted Bloodborne's music producers nor did I thoroughly analysed its soundtrack, but I think you are correct. I intend to investigate the matter someday.
Latin is indeed tricky,after I got the lyrics of the song of lament I gave up on trying to transcribe more lyrics and decided to confirm the truth with those who made them. I'm glad I chose that. I would be wasting my time trying to perceive Latin in these gibberish lyrics. Not sure if it'd be a good idea to try to transcribe Bloodborne's either, the orchestral sounds and chorus' pronunciation tend to hinder any attempt at an accurate transcription; that's why contacting the producers is the best choice.
At least I can confirm that "pato" is really duck in portuguese, hehehehehe
The syllables are so random pa - to ended up together, such coincidence couldn't go unnoticed by Brazilians :)

Wich is the unreleased ost for Margit. It's basically a different version of the Malenia's ost. Now, I don't ask you to make a video about them, but the vocals sound different. Could they hold meaning? Probably just not...
I would also recommend to do, for the next videos, either Fortis or the Final Battle osts. They have a lot of "s", if I hear correctly

Very interesting finding, Lorenzo! I will analyze it when possible, but for now I'll focus on the released tracks.
There are indeed lots of S ending syllables in the Final Battle. I only wish to release those lyrics once I have confirmed everything about them. If I can't, I'll just publish what the choir sings. I have no lyrics named Fortissax, but there's no here under the title 'Ancient Dragon', gotta check it out here if it belongs to Fortissax.
@@AntoniusTertius I do recommend to look into the dark souls 3 unreleased soundtracks, because they're quite good, if you're interested in the unreleased work of Kitamura. But obviously they don't have a choir, and so I won't ask you to cover them in a video, obviously.
If I need to be of some help, to decide if the "ancient dragon" ost is the one of Fortis, then I hear a lot of "br", or generally stuff with "r"
The alternate Malenia theme (the Margit one) is just a sampled version of the Malenia theme. That's a sampled choir, sounds a lot like DS3, so i very much doubt there's any lyrics since it's not an actual choir as opposed to the actual Malenia theme. Pretty sure they just threw it on Margit because they didn't have the actual track ready at that point in time.
