- We hunt, we provide, we share. This is our way of life. We harvest our own food and enjoy living off the land. In our family, hunting is a big part of how we live and how we obtain our food.
As a new father, life definitely changes. But, as much as things change, some things remain the same. The same traditions, the same passions, the same pursuit... They just look a little different, and through my eyes, they look better. Getting to pass on the things that I enjoy to my family.
Yes things change, but what we love doesn't have to. So as things change, we just change with them.
In this film, my wife Danielle and I took our daughter Wren along on a Fallow deer hunt in New Zealand for this installment of the Sako Great Hunt Series. Hunting with the Sako S20 rifle, a fitting gun for a story about change as it is modular and the stock options can be changed for the type of pursuit.
If this doesn't give you hope for humanity...nothing will. What a beautiful family. Passing the torch...amazing parents. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

excellent film!! Im definitely on your side with encluding the family and opening that door for them to grow into future hunters. I myself have just started this journey into hunting and this past season was my first in the whitetail woods with a bow in hand. I really hope my kids find interest in hunting as we already are big into the outdoors. That is the same child carrier we used with our little ones and hands down topped out the other ones we tried. beautfuil buck, beautif food. look forward to the next film
My 12 year old son took his first whitetail this year and it was hands down my favourite hunt I been on

Impressive. Remi is one skilled, brave, and patient guy. I avoided taking my kids in the field at this age due to it being far too inconvenient and difficult, and Remi makes it looks easy.

Loved the vid Remi I believe there should be more of these Vids out there bringing up the kids on hunting trips. Back in the 90s we didn’t have many photographic memories of the hunt. Trips like these are definitely one of things I look forward to with my boy

Congratulations on the awesome fallow deer and for taking your daughter along for the experience. I remember taking my son with me and my wife in a deer blind and both shooting a doe with a bow when he was 6 months old. It wasn’t nearly as challenging as this hunt was tho.

This is awesome! as a dad of 3 small kids i can for sure relate to how it changes hunting. Like you said in your podcast i look at it like a long term investment. In the short term it makes hunting harder and makes it to where you have less time but in the long run i'm hoping to have 3 new hunting addicts in the family!
