My parents gave me some excellent advice when I started dating. They said if you think you are in love and you are thinking about marriage, you need to date at least one year. And always ask questions and then ask follow up questions. Shannon’s Dad was right two months is not nearly long enough to know someone. Thankfully I followed my parents advice and they were correct.

Involve everyone in on the potential partner: friends, relatives, the Pastor and the congregation from Church. Ask lots of questions and make sure that the potential spouse is checking you out too. If he doesn't care to check you out that right there is a red flag.

Trying to listen to anyone when women 'think' they are in love is a waste of time. I married a handsome and charming man 12 years older than me. My brother knew him and told me NOT to marry him. I didn't listen and married him within 6 months of meeting him. My husband turned out to be domineering and authoritarian. I came to feel like a 'bug in a bottle' not able to escape out of the situation. Alas, I became pregnant twice in 14 months and had 2 children before I turned 21. Long story short, we ended our marriage after 17 long years and I had the taste of freedom at last. We just don't know who we are marrying in such a short time. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing rings true for many of us. Some are murderers as in this case.

Same for me. Married 10 yrs and had 2 kids. Violent man. Very controling, mean, sadistic and when I finally had courage to tell him its over, he told me not to tell the judge about violence so I didnt and he started again threatening me so I put a complaint, went to see thr procuror too who laughed at my face almost saying not to tell him he was horrible cause I had 2 kids with, incredible. 2 months later he tried to kill me in front of my youngest... never healed fully.
We dated 8 months but I was to young, to insecure due to the fact I was abandonned by my birth mom, wanted my own family but he lied, he manipulated me and he was fake on all...
He lost all, I lost none as he gave nothing ! He got 11 months for attempted murder!
I suggest ppl never marry someone if you dont know their family, their habits, their friends, their reactions and if its not God plan just dont

That can be true at times. It can equally be true that couples knows instantly they are ones for life quickly too. My hubby and I had married within months of meeting. We have been happily together for over 31 years of marriage and we have our beloved son! Every relationships has ups and downs in life normally and you work through it together no matter how long you had known each other. There are murderous people who seeks money gains off murdering their spouses and even their children through insurance payoff profits that you do definitely need to be wary of in life. Spouse and children murders can happen by premeditated murderous person that you had known for years or all of your own childhood into adulthood before marriages too. We do equally have premeditated murderous wives towards their husbands and their own children or/& their stepchildren around the world too! You don't equally fully know woman who you are marrying despite how long you had known her too. No one are mind readers to know what will happen in their future. You should lookout for misdeedly questionable signs of behaviors or decietful lies instead of ignoring it for its could be dangerous red flag tag signs for yourself and your children no matter if you are women or men. Both can be premeditated murderers looking out for life insurance money profit schemes of their victims in most spouse / family murder cases if you are not careful. ❤

I can detect LIARS by writing them to my cell phone, by the voice I can identify the intentions if they are good or bad, this is a gift, a gift that GOD GAVE ME. Being a woman is not easy, besides not having the muscle strength that men have, we also don't have the support we really need there, bad men take advantage and destroy lives... I'm glad I have God in my life, I don't trust men because they lie blatantly to get what they want.

'So much more mature' men are suspect already... Usually it is a matter of seeking out someone who are inexperienced, naive and easily controllable.

This movie was from a time when tv movies were made with quality, good writing, directing, excellent acting, quite unlike today with the kind of shit now turned out by Lifetime. I'm really glad I watched this, I've always been a fan of Bonnie Bartlett, glad she was in this.

I agree with you 100% the crap movies they put on today suck. Want to see a good movie look up ( and never let her go) with Mark Harmon excellent movie one that was made way back when the movies used to be good.

I agree with you 100%! As a matter of fact on my search engine on UA-cam I have typed in "lifetime movies from the 80's + 90's.. Movies from the 2000-2023 are absolutely the worst vids I ever seen. Camera switch's all over the place, everyone dresses like soap opera actors. Characters not important to the storyline. Then they get into the blab, into their own mistreated life of victim hood and on and on. You just get to the point of "just shut up and kill the guy" so we can watch how the police figure it out. New Wave movies suck.😅

Back in its heyday, Lifetime movies that were based on true stories were the BOMB. My all-time fave was The Betty Broderick story starring Meredith Baxter Bernie. That chick went bat-$hit crazy. Me & my girlfriends at work would always talk about the latest true crime Lifetime movie that had premiered over the last weekend at work lol.

Seen this movie a long time ago and seen the episode on unsolved mysteries. Real piece of work this guy. She was so in love and he just snuffed out her life like it didn’t mean nothing.

Yes it's an extremely sad story
Do you know the name of the first Detective, Shannon's parents speak to? The one whom recommends Shannon's body have an autopsy report?
He strongly resembles actor Gary Cole, but his name's not in the cast
      🤔✨☘️🙏
