Production quality is great, with balanced audio and dice numbers being animated across the screen. As tense as a finals match, these competitors seemed very salty but I guess that is expected when it comes to a high stake game. I wish they conducted themselves to be nicer to one another. At the end of the day it's just a game.

matthew's behavior in this game is so hard to watch. comments and scrutiny on everything from the poor trade at the beginning, to how to roll the dice, to being annoyed when blocked while in the lead. catan is a game where ultimately you cannot control your opponents do better and enjoy playing the game thats what it is meant for.

Watching online a game of Catan in a non-digital board is close to impossible. Even the most mediocre streamers on UA-cam or Twitch are producing better content than this. Card boards are OK for playing with your friends at home, but when you want to produce a show for the internet you need to have your board digital. You need to offer the viewers vibrant colors, clear lines, consistent lighting, all the goodies that come with a digital board. Other games are doing it successfully for ages. Take chess TV coverage for example, with half the screen showing the players thinking and the other half showing the digital chessboard. Most of the action happens on the digital half. That's where both the commentators and viewers spend most of their time, thinking and analyzing in parallel with the players. The camera on the players plays a secondary role, remembering to the viewers that they are watching a game that unfolds in real time. That's something that Catan games organizers should consider mimicking at some point.

The way this game is playing out live needs to be reworked asap. This is a nightmare to watch and there are so many things that should not be allowed. The no social skills of the players aside but that stupid talking and taking 15min for a turn is the worst.
Spencer legit threw that game from the start, he made so many terrible moves throughout the game. How did he make it to the finals. Such a terrible player.

I think if showing the board is fine as is, but if they can use RFID on the cards so we can see whats in everyones hand, that would be much better.
