- Extrema Ratio tactical folding knives, MF2 MF3 penetrating fighting style, and MPC heavy use folder with 1/4" lock back design. The MPC is pocket friendly, but heavy.....MF2 MF3 ate purpose build, but difficult to deploy quickly from the pocket due to their frame design.

I have cut finger with ER Ingredior once and it has bled profusely and was very difficult to stop .
Neat blades, but it kind of defeats the purpose of a foldet if it sucks to put in your pocket. If I have to strap it on my gear/ belt then I would much rather just carry a fixed blade.
How strong is the locking mechanism on these? Would you ever be concerned about it closing on you? Im considering the Extrema Ratio RAO because im not sure.
did this mf3 have a lifetime guarantee? and what if it gets too loose at the opened condition?? if it can happen at all in this price class...can you get then from the manufacturer simply a new one?? and can a knive satisfy a price like that at all?? thinking to buy such a thing..;)
Very good looking, I think, but very unpractical as folders. If I had the money I would buy them just for the looks, but I would put them in a display case and carry something much more practical in my pocket.
Pretty sure you can make some at home modifications to the pocket clip
MPC = Tank construction!
I have an MPC. First looks like the blade edge is higher than the handle, making it a strange sight at first. Looks like a tank. That is why I bought it. Beefed up Fulcrum II. Do you think it could be used in bushcraft? I mean this is just a fat folder, not to gut fish or anything. But does the construction and strength do it justice? Or is this just a military knife?

I wish someone would do a "true review" vs oh, look at this. I just bought 2 and man did they kill my bank lol. I hope I made a good choice vs sticking with a USA made knife. I wanted 1 lol that could do pretty much any and everything.
You are not assessing the knife for it's intended use, military/police etc, when you talk about pocket carry. Nice review btw.
I got the MF1 for "EDC" because it doesn't have the extra slip guard in the middle of the handle like the MF2 and MF3 have. Other than that, it is really similar.

Their fixed blade designs are OK, but the folders all look like “gas station” or “flea market” knives to me. Extrema Ratio was trendy for a while, but I think collectors have evolved with their tastes becoming more sophisticated. These days there are so many other choices with better designs, better quality, and better materials. These cartoonish designs may have more success in the entry level segment of the market with people just getting into the knife hobby.
Well, I have an MF2 and I must compliment it for being such a smooth, well designed and precisely machined folder. It also feels very solid, secure. So not just elegant, but great-fitting and sturdy. Of course my Nemesis and MPC are more sturdy, but are of the same exquisite quality. I also have a Dark Ops Chinese clone knife, which I have been using as a beating knife. Well nothing special about it, but after constant abuse as a work horse, still goes strong after 9 years. So yes, if you think this is more practical to use for less money, this is a "better design". However it comes nowhere near the quality of ER. Not from a haptic point of view, not from a feeling of quality or steel. But it gets the job done. Then what could I expect from ER?
