Born in 2004 in Brixen, Hannes Vonmetz's percussion journey began at the age of three at the music school Ritten. Winning awards in "Prima la Musica," he joined the local "RISA" orchestra and the "Beat 4" percussion quartet.
In 2019, he became a junior student at Musikhochschule Claudio Monteverdi in Bozen. Supported by Prof. Gianmaria Romanenghi, Hannes will complete his Triennium-Studium "Orchester-Schlagwerk" in 2024. In July 2023, he excelled in the state exam at Gymnasium "Walther von der Vogelweide" and commenced a Bachelor's in Percussion at the University of the Arts, Berlin, from October 2023 under Prof. Rubino Simone.
As a youngster, he participated in renowned competitions such as the Universal Marimba competition, Gran Premio Povoletto (prize winner), Australian Marimba Competition (prize winner), or the EBBC in Malmö.
Hannes collaborates with composers and enhances his skills through masterclasses and diverse performances.
