What was impressive during our visit to his studio was a board showing the variety of colors that can be produced by combining the clay and glazes he uses.
Mr. Koyama said that he has been researching various combinations of clay and glaze since his origins are not restricted by the region of origin. He said, "Most of my recent works are pink, but I would like to try other colors," and we were very impressed by his relentless inquisitiveness.
