He lived to be just 42 years old. One of America's greatest painters.

My grandmother was a bellows. They were cousins. I have one piece of his work. A fly fisherman in a stream

kustomweb That’s what I like to do. I study all these Masters right here, no need to travel to Paris like these Artists. They didn’t have You Tube.

Gran pintor inglés, lleno de armonías de color desgarradoras 👏👏👏. Un saludo desde España.

He was an American Artist. Hello from here. 🇺🇸

Was this guy suffering from depression. His portraits look soulless. Like proped up corpses. They all look like murder victims, painted to hang on their killers' walls. His landscapes seem like his escape into a different world, almost a fantasy world, whereas the people he paints seem caught up in either subtle or obvious violence. Something macabre hovering about in the shadows with this artist.

@@petemavus2948 Artist project through the medium of their art. Its a difficult thing to understand until you create somthing you honestly feel is uniquely your own. Then you'll understand.

@@petemavus2948 @petemavus2948 I don't thinks its necessary to shield an artist that's been dead for 100 years, from questions concerning the depths of their paintings. If you do that's fine, but I would not be so arrogant as to say what you or anyone else should keep to themseves. I don't work for the thought police, and I have never applied for the job.
