Yes sir, I watch all your repair videos. I have learned some things from you. But I didn’t get any notification for this livestream though or I would of been watching and chatting with you. Thx so much Chris

Yea, I am a small non-monitized channel, so in order to get notifications you would have to click the bell.

@@THEtechknight Yes sir, I’ve been scribed to you channel and have had the bell icon checked will ALL videos highlighted for over a year, I get your normal video notifications but for some reason I didn’t get you livestream notification. When you get them parts for that RF 200 I would love to see you doing the repair. I hate doing them smd caps. Do you have any other RF amps that you will be doing repairs on soon? Keep the great videos coming sir. I don’t know you name so hope your not taking sir the wrong way. Lol. Thx so much Chris

@@chriswisecarver4328 I probably have 5 or 6 RF amps I need to do. I guess its a google issue. Currently still working on the Alpine from last night, its giving me a headache. I think the switches for the selections are bad. No amount of cleaning is bringing them around.

Ummm, my Zx750.1 does not require the sides to be removed in order to take the top cover off!?!?! It is identical to the one you have here also and 4 allen screws n the top lid is easily removed with no other parts removal necessary.... Infact i literally just had the cover off of mine meer minutes ago to blow out any dust collecting inside, far as design goes can we just touch on the fact that they use the same size allen wrench for everything on this amplifier such as the +/- power inputs, the +/- speaker inputs, the remote wire input and also to remove the top cover! Sure wish that more amps were this simple and convenient to install or work on!

good video, they are entertaining and educational, and I'm left wondering what happened to the Alpine
you should upload more content or live more often.

More videos are coming. I am actually working through these amplifiers. Alpine I just fixed last weekend. That one was a nightmare.

So I have the exact same problem on my Kicker 06 ZX750.1, blown power supply, a hole in Q103, and my Q11&Q05 tested bad (thx to your video I tested those, ty) also the stock gate resistors for the IRF3205 are 100ohm, but you and others have used 47ohm, I know the newer boards of same type use 47ohm, do you recommend changing my 100ohm to 47ohm? What parts were the Q05/Q11? Did you ever get the Kicker amp up and running? Any info would help a lot as I have the exact same problem :) ty!

run 47 ohm, I would have to look back in my notes but those transistors are either BD139/140, or MMBTA06/56.

@@THEtechknight ok, ya I was advised to just run the 100ohm saying there are other parts playing into why to keep 100ohm but then others say it’s so minimal and the benefits of the 47ohm outweigh anything else. What is the pros of switching to 47ohm vs keeping stock 100ohm gate resistors? Also yes you are correct, MMBTA06/56 and I’ve already ordered them :) thx so much for getting back to man, not many do, keep up the great vids!

@@Tekjive Thing is, the larger the value of the gate resistors on those MOSFETs, the more narrow the dead-time is going to be when switching between the push-pull banks of fets. if you change out the IRFZ44s with say, IRF3205s, you need to go to a 47 ohm so it can drive those MOSFETs a bit faster/harder. Why? because the miller charge/total gate charge is higher on those MOSFETs so it need a stronger gate current to switch them fast enough.

@@THEtechknight o wow ok, ya I just ordered IRF3205 for the power supply side, and no one I talked to advised me of this, told me to just keep the 100ohm with out explanation :/ ty dude I really appreciate this, I’m still new to all of this but do you have a specific 47ohm you recommend or just any correct size same spec smd 47ohm transistor will do? .5watt like the others? Just want to make sure, ty. Also Is there any other changes/updates/upgrades you’d make while replacing PS fets to help make the amp more stable/robust/operate more smoothly? I’m not looking to increase the output, I know that would take a lot, but if I can change out a few pieces while I’m in there anyway I’m all for that, it’s for my cousin along with an L7 I just rebuilt so he’ll have it forever, until he upgrades and I take it back lol

@@Tekjive Nope just a standard SMD resistor will do. I cannot recall if it was 0805 or 1206, its been awhile since ive consistently worked on these things. I have a pile more car audio gear to do videos on but the semiconductor shortage has railroaded some of that.

Not accepting outside work atm due to the semiconductor shortage, and lack of free time. Maybe in the future though.
