I am from the US but I visited Finland before and their tap water is amazing! I was so shocked lol. I'm not used to drinking water straight from the tap for obvious reasons (US tap water is disgusting!) but I was able to drink water straight from the tap there! So cool.
It also depends where in Finland you drink tap water! In both Sweden and Finland you can drink water direct from tap. But in some places the water taste really bad! Some places ok! Some places really really good! Its definitely not the same taste in all places! For example here in Haparanda where I live tap water taste like mud yak 😨 In the neighbour village just some mile away the water tastes as it should much better than bottle water. But I think it has to do because here where I live they just take the water from the river. In the villages they have real springs where they take water. So I guess its the same in USA? I once travelled to Greece. They dont recomend tourist drink tap water. But I did and it was better than my water here in Sweden 😂 I even told other tourist and the hotel staff how good their water was 😉 they did not agree with me.
My American friends were shocked when they vivited me and found out that in Finland you can basically drink from every lake and the water is very good and safe to drink. Often much better than tap water. Of course there are some exceptiona, but I'd say that of the 200 000 lakes in Finland more than 190 000 have water you can safely drink.

I don't know where you live but the water in Lahti is supposed to be the best in Finland. I have had people saying that Coke tastes better here than in other parts of the world because of the quality of the water!
The quality of tap water differs regionally in Finland, for example in Pori they use the "tekopohjavesi" which means artificial ground water. So basically they use the same method nature has that water travels through the ground while filtering itself it can be artificially made while also after that chemically cleaning the water. While in most areas they only chemically clean water from rivers or lakes which can have a stronger taste.

There is also a story about coca cola in Finland they have a rule that water must be at least 3 times filtered before it can be used in coca cola products. When coca cola arrived in finland they asked for a sample of the finnish tapwater to determine how much filtering gear is needed. When they recieved the sample they were angry that the factory sent them "laboratory level filtered water" which was in fact just regular tap water. So they didn't believe that and even today in 2020 in kerava factory they triple filter finnish tap water before making coca cola which actually makes it taste worse

I think if its part of the entrance process then you have to do it. The one I had they just asked: Why I wanted to study in Finland, why this city, Why did I want to study this degree and what are my career ambitions, what stats background I have, how will this degree support what I want to do as a career. And that was it :)

If you check where do the US companies that bottle the water take said water it is from the communal water supply. They only add the carbon dioxide.

That's an awesome video idea! In my experience tab water taste really differs a lot between cities. Lahti has excellent tab water btw.

Tap water tastes different in other cities. For example I love water in Lappeenranta and when I was in Turku, I could barely drink it.

Actually, Finnish tap water is much better than that in other countries, it tastes a little bit sweet, really good!

You should have used a TDR meter and a PH meter instead. Taste doesn’t equates to quality.
