I create charts of these simple progressions in C, G, D, A, E, F, Bb to be able to find the baritone chords. thanks for keeping the baritone ukulele relevant.
Hey Abigail ! Thank you for another great Baritone video, I really enjoyed following with you. The fingerpicking pattern sounds beautiful and the "pushed" Am was something totally new for me and it's nice to play around with as well. I can't really play #5 just yet, but I'll surely add it to my daily practice! 😁
Hi i am trying to figure out if there are any standard chord progressions used in indie folk music for example by bands like Apocalypse Chords by Cigarettes After Sex, Purple Chords by Hollow Coves, Daylight Chords by Lissom feat. Novo Amor. Lana Del Ray Songs . i am looking to adjust to simplier chords and also less chords for a similar musical feeling. Any suggestions or videos you have done in this genre?
Well well! Abigail ! My fav progression is number 3... I gotta work on the fingerpicking .... my next fav is number 4 .... I'm playing a baritone with a high d string so the progressions sound a bit different than with a low d but nevertheless they still sound great! Ok number 5 is great but I really have to work on it I can do it very clumsily right now but I'll keep working on it. 2 years ago when I received my free Baritone I remember trying to play your my girl tutorial but I couldn't play the F so I played Fmaj7 as you suggested. Well after a few months of practice I can now play The F chord with ease. Hopefully I'll be able to master these jazz chords with practice this year! The first progression Actually knew and wrote a song using those chords years ago and was finally able to play it on Baritone last year! I grew up playing keyboards since the 70s so it's been a matter of getting my fingers to play on a fret board ...strum and finger pick. Abigail I love you videos and often share them with my fellow Ukulele players and students. After watching your videos I'm often inspired to write songs. I loved the ten chord progression video ... the one finger chord video and the hammer on chord video. I've written songs inspired by each of these videos and will most likely write a song or songs inspired by this video! Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much! I’m so glad to hear that, especially that you find some of it useful for songwriting. Such a wonderful compliment! And I’m glad you got that F chord-it’s definitely one of the harder barre chords, in my opinion, despite the fact that it’s one of the most popular. I think stuff gets easier after that, especially as you move up the neck and tension isn’t as high.
Greetings, Very fun. I need to play with them for a bit to pick a favorite. I'll send my choice later. Thanks. And a quick question, how, where, is the top button of your strap set. Working on where to add mine. Suggestions? Thanks again. Your Baritone lessons are my go-to. And is Polly a Dutch Bunny? She seems so large compared to our little ones. Thanks again. pax, PL
Thank you! The neck of my uke sort of curves to meet the body, and the button is on the back side of that curve. So the button itself points straight back and could poke me in the arm, if that makes sense. If you send me an email at contact@abigailflowersmusic.com I can send you a photo if that’s helpful! And Polly is indeed a Dutch! She’s a rescue, though, so I know neither her age nor her exact origins but... she is a plump girl. We’re trying to make sure she gets plenty of exercise and see if she leans out or if that’s just her shape!
@@AbigailFlowersMusic Greets, thanks. I have a instrument with on on the back of the head block. I have worried about it stressing in the case. And about Polly. Just as great as a cat but they never purr. And they will piss..... ANYWHERE ! Even when box trained. They will still and always chew where they can or will. That is a Bunny. Love 'em. They can be and do well being trained to a litter box and a leash as well if you use a harness.Miss ours. pax, PL
Greetings, one thing that will really help... get some vinyl tubing. Slit it down the length and put it over your electric cords. The Buns will chew any cords they can get their little teeth on to. The vinyl makes it taste bad for them. pax, PL
Once you've tried these progressions, let me know what your favorite is!
A trick : you can watch movies at kaldroStream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Erick Luca Yup, I have been using kaldrostream for months myself =)
@Erick Luca definitely, been watching on kaldrostream for since december myself :)
@Erick Luca Definitely, I've been watching on kaldrostream for since november myself :D

This is my favorite lesson of yours. You are such a fine teacher. #3 is my favorite minor chord progression. Thank you, Abigail.
All your videos really help me and push me forward

Nicely done, Polly!
... & Abigail also!
Thank you! And Polly says she really appreciates the positive feedback on her debut.
Hello Abigail. Love what you are doing on your channel.
I really like this video. I find myself experimenting with these chords over and over
Hi Abigail: This is a really tough one for me! Thanks for giving finger options for those of us with arthritic fingers. Love your lessons.
Thanks Abigail! I think my favorite is #3.
All are great practice! Yeah! Like them all but 3 and 5 are my favorites. Nice lesson and cute bunny
Thank you! 5 is my favorite but it sounds like 3 might be the dark horse here! And Polly says thank you as well 🐰
Great lesson

thanks so much Abigail... I needed to take a lesson to get out of my funk.
Ahh thank you so much! I’m so glad I could help ☺️ and I hope you are funk free for a while, but I sure know how that goes!
