What a wonderful video. No more cold showers. As an emergency room PA I am lately taking several showers daily to keep my infant twins safe from the covid virus that I'm sure gets all over me ( Ive seen a minimum of 10 covid patients per shift these past three weeks!) and I've been stuck taking cold showers. Thanks for the quick reference - I just installed a replacement cartridge for the same Delta unit. My wife wasn't to happy about her Luke warm shower this morning. NOTE - the temp adjustment knob for replacement parts are a single piece that you now pull out from the knob, turn, and let reengage making it a bit easier. Thanks again!

I am a single mother of 3 kids and two "trusted handy men" recommended by friends gave me outrageous prices to fix the fact that only cold water was coming out of my kids' shower with one even saying it was the rough in and that tiles would need to be removed to fix it. I went with my gut and found your video. I adjusted the temperature in less than 10 minutes, including having to adjust it twice, without any issues. This just saved me so much time, trouble, and money. Thank you again!
dianna labib That's the problem with some so called "handy man" services. In reality, since their not specialized, they should be cheaper. I never charge anyone who asks for my assistance anyway. Being able to help is payment enough. BTW, good job!!!

I had a different delta faucet but same concept. So thank you for this quick video, it fixed the problem! I was going to replace the entire faucet or call a handy man but this video saved me the hassle and $$$$.
Thanks for posting this. My second bath has a Delta faucet and the water doesn’t get very hot. So glad it’s adjustable and I don’t have to replace the cartridge or even worst the entire fixture. Great post!

I just did this myself a few minutes ago, and the valve I have is even easier than the model here. It took only 20 minutes to do my bath/shower and my mother’s shower. Thanks! Now I can do this on my own! 😃😃😃

You just save my water heater, I was goin to setup to very hot and I know setting out to very hot will decrease the life of the water heater. Thankfully I watch this video and not is setup to warmer and I have hot water Thankuuuu

Thank you! I thought I was going insane and had somehow hooked up the PEX wrong (even though I could see it was correct!).
Great video. I did this, screwerd the "plastic" handle back on, turned the handle and it broke off in my hand. But now that it's broken....I'm using a wrench and now I'm able get the hot water that I've desired.
OMG! The handle broke!? You can get a replacement handle at most big home supply stores. Home Depot, Lowes...etc. Thx for watching!

Thank you as this video helped! I noticed you turned the plastic set temperature back as your set screw wouldn't have fit if turning it the full 30 degrees. It doesn't take much adjustment. My set screw required a torx screwdriver (6 sided). Also I wouldn't recommend using any power tools to remove or tighten the screws. Otherwise people accidentally over tighten and can break or crack the on/off knob quite easily. But your video allowed me to adjust my shower easily, all in 5 minutes so thank you very much!!!

Thanks. Very good instructions. On my model, the set screw required an Allen wrench. Had to go through three sets to find one that had the right size.
What size was it. I can't find the size tried all my sets

Mine didn't have the set screw, but same concept. I just pulled the center of the cartridge out and adjusted promptly. Thanks for the guidance. My apartment maintenance just said to turn up my thermostat on hotwater heater. I was like.... Ummm.... Not the issue. I have hot water everywhere else.
if your like me and the set screw wont budge I was able to pop out the plastic enough to re position to its previous place "3 o clock"" which restored normal hot water, my knob must have backed out over time allowing the plastic to lose its place.

First thanks for this video. It really helped me understand what needed to be done (I had sort of figured it out on my own but was afraid I'd break something until you verified what I was trying was correct). One problem I ran into was the inner gear (the one that you need to turn clockwise for hotter) only seems to be able to be inserted into specific locations. I couldn't spot any kind of guide that would prevent me from just inserting it in any position, but it just wouldn't go into other than one or two specific locations.

Although, I had to cringe though, when you brought out the drill to loosen the screw.
That's a 5% fine on my crew! I try to impress upon them that in instances like this, a small machine screw, or installing door hardware, it's best to use hand tools. Less chance of an aggressive drill, string out the heads.
When installing locks you have to get it right the first time. If you strip one of those cheap brass screwed, you're
well, ...you know.

My faucet is an old American Standard. I've got the screw out of the handle but I can't get the handle off. I'm afraid to force the housing off. I'm trying to get to the mixing valve.

looks like you had to move the triangle back clockwise to fit the bolt back in?
