I like the effort and atempt.. but please look up how to do real wire inlay...its not any harder than what you did and it will look about 1000% better. tho for not knowing how to do something you gave it one hell of a try. nice job. I am sure you could do some real art with some of the proper techniques.
Dylan, you are gonna end up being a great maker out there. its innovative young men and women like you that end up turning out great works of art and wind up creating things everyone wants. the fact that you got off your butt and took a chance, making something the best you know how is super impressive. I mean that to, too many young people think like "well I dont know how to do it so I cant even try." so real respect given to you dude. Keep it up, ya got a sub from me if for nothing else than i wanna see your stuff in the future. good luck.
+Bobbert Bobby thank you so much! I'm happy to have you as a subscriber! I've been too focused on my smaller channel. I'm making more tutorial and project videos for this channel very soon
@@DylansDIYWorkshop Dylan the way you responded to the criticism is great. He is right, and your video was great. I personally appreciate you speeding up the time consuming stuff with the time lapse. Please keep making your videos. Ignore the bashing from the trolls, the trolls never post a video so you are on another level.
Hey partner looks nice, but the better way is to use the correct metal which is flat about a 1/16 or 3/32 inch wide ,or tall, and cut an scratch in wood then carefully set wire into scratchs and tap with a small hammer, when more or less flat wet it lightly and let it dry a while then sand flush. get correct metal at muzzloading parts sellers, comes in brass and silver, thats how 200 year old rifles were done!
nice project my friend thanks for sharing. A little tip for you is leave your sandpaper flat and sand the block of wood on the Sandpaper I'm just saying.
+Opa's Workshop I know that technique Opa, however the sharp edge of the sanding block will rip the wire out of the wood. I suppose maybe if I used a piece that was bigger than the whole inlay itself it might work though
I believe what he is suggesting is to affix an entire piece of sandpaper to a table surface or something similar and rub your workpiece against the sandpaper, rather than rubbing sandpaper against the workpiece.
I'm guessing he means that the sanding was not continued until the wire was smooth and flush with the surface of the wood, which is how wire inlays are typically done.
Hi Dylan, this is the first video that I've seen from you, and I hope that your dream of doing videos for a living has come true. Merry Christmas!

You are nice guy. We in Pakistan hve no wood working tool
thank you. And no big tools? or no tools at all?
Nice job, I can see a lot of potential with this technique.
+Mitch Deitrich I've used it for many things. It's not the proper way to make a wire inlay but it's by far the easiest
Cool do you flatten the wire or not as I see a lot of people make the wire flat but I don’t think you did?
I sanded it down
Dylan's DIY Workshop awesome thanks
Just a note for future projects. Starting with a file and then switching to sandpaper would have been more productive.
thank you!
you need bigger clamps
Looks very cool and you have a sweet thumbnail. Just wondering if you could tell me the song/music you had playing during this video.
+hannahrosebrown1 the one that plays on the time lapse? That's the only one I can see in the video. It's monody by thefatrat

and use the right klipper to cut the wire. one that cut strait.
that looks pretty sweet!
+adam fleisch thanks man!
I have been searching wire inlay video and this one is the worst
aha
Nice effort but you didn't finish the project.
+Kim F what do you mean?

click bait thumbnail - LOL - may or may not include a real thumbnail.
+Shogun-Jimi I had to change the thumbnail because I didn't like it lol
