Nice playing. I liked all the Agop and Bosphorus cymbals much more than the Zildjians.

The nuance of your playing was beautiful. The voice of each cymbal really shines.

Thank you! 🙏🏻 the purpose of this vidéo is the sound of cymbals, not my playing, that’s why ; )

Oui je pense super ride ! Légèrement dry, juste ce qu'il faut, parfaite selon moi pour jazz / latin. Merci Christophe :)@@christophepiot1756

I like the 30th anniversaries as well, even the 26”

Out of this line-up, I would have to go with the Agop Sultan Jazz 22"

Where are those background metronome like drums coming from ?

To be honest they all sound fantastic. Your playing lets them say what they are trying to say. Thank you.

Could you explain how you made the backing track and what amount of swing you're thinking of? To me, it sounds like almost even 1/8 notes but not quite. Is it possibly a quintuplet (3:2 ratio) or a septuplet (4:3 ratio) subdivision, as opposed to an even 1/8 notes (1:1 ratio) or a triplet (2:1 ratio)? Thanks.

Thanks for your questions! Well I recorded the backing track AFTER the drumset. There are just congas and shekere, not looped, played along the drum track.
The 8th notes are not even you’re right. But it’s not something so precise so I can tell you “it IS quintuplets or..” I played it like that because i felt it this way, and because to me it is the swing of this kind of rhythms…
      Hope I answered your questions! ; )
      Have a good day
