I feel that this is very condescending towards the end. All Jewish boys should be sharing the burden of defending Eretz Yisrael.
He stopped short in his list of contributions. I respect Rav Weiss's empathy, but he still falls short of asking his students to partake with an active roll of carrying the nation.

What a disgrace. The perfect opportunity for bridging gaps and instead Rav Weiss used the time to emphasize differences between "his" community and the regular religious community that proudly supports its sons when they learn in yeshiva and when they go to war. He talks about "here" and "there". That Gd doesn't just love the kids "here" but also the kids "there". What is that??? We're all children of Hashem. What exactly is being taught in "his" community?
