Hi there it’s Fiona, dyer from Kosy Kitchen Fibres. Thank you so much for choosing my yarn and sharing it on this video! I very much enjoyed your vlog and I’m now going to go back and watch your previous videos! Glad you had a lovely trip while visiting our rainy country! Xx
Wow, girl! What an excellent video of your trip. Very professional ❤️. I was glued to it the whole way through. I could watch it over and over. Well done!
What a beautiful video you have made of what looks to have been a dream trip for all of you. I see that videography is another one of your talents! You brought me back in my mind to my own trip to England and France many years ago now, but I am still holding on to the wonderful memories of that time. Yarn souvenirs are the absolute best! Your Sailor Swift top is so lovely and becoming on you. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us!
@@TextileIndie I would recommend the Yorkshires, for the beautiful scenery and moors that are so much a part of the Brontë sisters writing, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights are two of my favourite novels. You can visit the parsonage where they lived and wrote. I also loved visiting the Lake District. One of my happiest memories on that trip is stopping for a picnic in one of the villages and enjoying❤ the green pastures with the gentle lambs nearby.
@@lisaromberg3113 We realized we could take many, many trips to England. Bailey and I really loved it - especially once we explored outside London. We're both homebodies. I think the Yorkshires would suit us well. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for posting and sharing your fun trip! I loved The Cottswolds when I was there several decades ago and had no idea of its position in the wool industry, and also had no idea I'd be raising wool sheep as I am now! Your knitted tank top is beautiful and fits you superbly!
@@TextileIndie We started out with Cormo and Cottswold but lost all but one Cormo. We now have mixes of Cormo/Cheviot/Lacone/E. Freisan. None good enough to spin which is why I started felting - I learned from you! We also raise the sheep for milk and meat which is why the breeds aren't top wool producers. We're about to use some of the wool for insulation in a tiny straw-bale house we're building!
@@alisonsnow7676 Oh wow! I don't know where to start. I'm fascinated by the idea of a straw bale house with wool insulation. Please come back and keep me updated. You can also email me at brittany@textileindie.com or tag us on IG/FB @textileindie. Send us a photo of your house progress and your sheep. There are so many things to felt up.
I just git back from a trip to Europe! Stopped at Stephen West's yarn shop in Amsterdam - Stephen and Penelope's - and a small shop in Munich (can't remember the name). What fun!!
I loved the pictures from your trip to Europe. I'm not into knitting. Your sweater looks great! Are there any basket weaving shops in the area? So glad you all had a great time.
Sounds like a wonderful time! Yarn combo of BFL and Masham sounds like a wonderful and interesting combo. Happy knitting! Love your basket classes. Watched the melon basket yesterday.
Thank you Johnny. I did not find any basket supply shops. Usually basket supplies are sold in fiber art supply stores. I would love to know if there's a dedicated basketry shop somewhere in the world.

Thank you for the kind words! Do you have any suggestions for places we should visit if we get to go back?

Thank you for the kind comment. What breed of sheep do you raise?

That does sound like fun. I would go anywhere in Europe, anytime. I'll note that shop down. Thanks.

Thanks Ellen. Happy weaving!
What a beautiful trip! Have you visited the Parisian wool stores? (I live near Nantes, near the Atlantic Ocean)
Not yet! But I hope to go back and see more of France.
