You've got a great channel here. Very thoughtful, honest, and passionate take. It truly can be as simple as the fact that the film made you happy genuinely means something. So much is lost when building up the pillars of "high art" that sometimes we reject the joy that we feel. And why should we? That's dumb. Subscribed.
I want to say this, I genuinely feel like this movie was one of the best Spider-Man films written. The scene of the three of them meeting was so quiet and vulnerable and perfect, and the characters meeting served a purpose to the story and was not just a “cash grab.” I felt Tobey and Andrew were necessary to the story for Tom’s Peter to move forward as a character, and in doing so, that also matured him. There are two scenes I love and feel are perfect Spider-Man scenes: 1. The one you spoke about with them meeting on the roof. This scene was just incredible to watch, and I really felt the emotion of the characters as if I there in that scene with them. Aside from the references to previous movies, that scene was brilliant and really showed Tom’s Peter’s vulnerability and brokenness, which is something we haven’t seen from him because his character has been giddy and fun up to that point. That scene alone really matured him. 2. His fight with Goblin, specifically right before Tom’s Peter is going to kill him with the glider. It was a very dark turn for that version of the character and was the first time I really felt the MCU could do an incredible job with him as an adult (which they better do). His adult stories are super mature, but also full of heart and love, and I just love it. His best stories are as an adult. I’ve never really enjoyed his stories as a high schooler, but college and adult are classic and perfect Spider-Man. The Spider-Man PS4 was an incredible feat, and hope we can get something close to that as a movie someday. But with this scene, I feel the MCU could do it, if they don’t rush the character and rush bringing in Miles Morales. I want development before Miles. Miles needs his own spotlight, and it needs to come naturally and not be rushed. Overall, besides the nostalgia, I thought the movie was perfect, classic Spider-Man. It really felt like Spider-Man while watching it, whereas I didn’t think Homecoming and Far From Home did all that much.
dude i just did the rewatch yesterday for all 3, homecoming, far from home and no way home and still got me like the first time 🥺🥺🥺 best movie ever ❤️❤️❤️
