Hello friends! I don't know if you were expecting this or not, but here I am with a 5 minute Jonsa video for you all.
Yes, you got it! This is a Jonsa video (as in pro possible romantic endgame Jonsa) and if that bothers you, I understand, but let's just try to be respectful aye? With that being said I'd appreciate opinions pro them or opposed to them.
I am by now a vehement subscriber to this concept (as anyone who follows me on twitter might now) because I love both Jon and Sansa so much and I so dearly want them to be happy. I'm about as certain as one can be when it comes to GoT/Asoiaf, that we're onto something here, cause it doesn't take much to see the ridiculous amount of foreshadowing these two have both in the books and especially now on the show (I mean, they couldn't have made the nedcat parallels more obvious if they split the screen and made a side by side comparison), and we all know when it comes to this saga nothing is there by mere coincidence.
With that being said, I (guiltily) loved their chemistry in s6 and that added to the realization that Jon and Sansa could actually give each other everything they dreamed of as children (Jon longs to be an actual part of the Stark family and Sansa wants to be queen) was what gave me the final push towards becoming a full blown crackhead Jonsa.
It's my understanding that most people, at least to some degree, subscribe to the Jon/Daenerys pairing, but they just didn't hold any appeal to me last season (or in any season/book prior, since it's been a thing for quite a while). I can appreciate the ying yang aspects of their respective journeys but as a romantic duo their differences just become much too incompatible IMO, and s7 has told us all we need to know about how the story between them will go down.
They are foils to each other, and a betrayal for love has been prophesied. I mean...it IS as simple as that.
But I guess we shall see! I tried to compile a bunch of what I think might be evidence to the Jon/Sansa theory going on while simultaneously making this a decent video, I hope I succeded lmfao. Thank you all so much for watching!

I think about the edit where Ned is saying "Someone who is brave, and gentle, and strong" over Jon a lot. The Cat/Ned parallels are just too spot on and this video highlights that so damn well.

...but then I remembered it was Jon I was thinking about so there's no way he would do something so dishonest... damn.
Lunelaya Yes, he could. He did it before with the wildlings and with Ygritte. Plus he was resurrected, this also must have had some after effect
I don't know, that was not the same. He didn't do this with Ygritte, what he felt with her was real. He did not use her as a mean to get information or trust (on the contrary she was well aware that he was still a Crow at heart, she even used their relationship to prove to the Wildlings that he was one of them).
And I don't believe that, mostly because of his link to Ned. Jon *is* proud to be Ned's son, to be honest and loyal. This would be too much of a change of character. And so far we have seen no big change or what from the resurrection thing in the serie (which I find quite upsetting I admit, as if it was an everyday thing ಠ_ಠ)
...don't get me wrong, I *love* your theory of the change because of the resurrection! THAT would be a great plot twist!! But from what we've seen so far, I find it unlikely to happen :/
Lunelaya I find it very likely to happen if you examine his behavior with Daenerys throughout the last season. And all the "honor" hammering could part of it. I love smart theories :)
Lunelaya in the books Jon is a little more morally grey, and Martin also said that resurrection comes with a price, making Jon and the Starks in general more morally grey. The idea is, a good ruler doesn’t care for their honor, or how others see him, so long as he does what’s right by his people.
GOT have many characters with amazing transformation , Arya , Jon , Jaimie , Daeny
but literally Sansa is the most astonishing transformation in the show , from innocent little girl with big dreams to capable survival and leader in this fucked world , i hope Sansa sit on the Iron Throne in the end .
BUT who has a better story than Brand the broken? ... Okay, Sansa would have been such a better choice
It was so sweet that jon and sansa seems like completing each other sentences. Jonsa is the perfect definition of a soulmate, they have different contribution in life but the same goals, dreams and principles, they are bring the best out of each other. And the bit where ser royce said "targaryen cannot be trusted" is so good! Ah... The irony!

how would they make more sense narratively? The northern lords are already wavering in their support for Jon, when they find out he bent the knee they're not gonna be happy. When they find out he was actually born Aegon Targaryen they're gonna be even madder and distrustful, you think they're gonna support and accept their relationship? You might think it won't matter what they think but if any of them wanna rule they need to listen to the words of the people they rule. And they will never support two Targaryens getting together ever again, they hate the Targs. All Jon ever wanted to be in life was Jon Stark, to have a home at Winterfell, who do you think can give him that? The woman obsessed with the Iron Throne or Sansa, the lady of winterfell.

I’m still watching this every week, even after the finale. This is what we deserved damn it. Second coming of Ned and cat. Jon becoming a stark. Jonsa ride or die forever.
All the layering and parallels are just stunning. Jon came back south after accepting the fact he killed his aunt and give himself some time. Then him and Sansa ruled the north. The end
It's so interesting to me that Jon says to Dany 'the north will see you for what you truly are'. Like the words are double edged sword because he knows and sees JUST what kind of queen she is. A conqueror not a just ruler. And he isn't lying when he says the North will truly see her, because in the premiere every single citizen of the North is wary of her and does not trust her. Dany isn't a queen, she's a conqueror and it's been shown time and time again. Jon didn't bend the knee for love and that is answered when Sam turns to him and says 'you gave up your crown for your people'. Jon is thinking and looking at the endgame. Everything else is political semantics. Except his love for Sansa. The entire premiere he was hurt and upset at the thought that she had no faith in him, to the point that he asks her out of frustration. He needs her approval and respect. It is what makes him the proverbial king that he is. She is the entire reason he's doing everything. He would never have been king if it weren't for Sansa. And that moment with Arya when he says 'I'm her family too', like he needs HER to see that. UGH THERE IS JUST SO MUCH HERE AND I NEED IT TO BE THE STORY IT'S BEEN SET UP TO BE SINCE THE BEGINNING. She wanted to be queen and she wanted a handsome prince, and he was never a bastard but the prophesied king all along.
It's all going to happen that way in the books. Lots of foreshadowing. Hopefully Martin will release the damn book soon, or we get the Snow series showing us SOMETHING.

And then Jon & Sansa reunited on the show...suddenly I find myself wanting Jonsa to happen.

Given that everyone in GOT is apparently related, I've pretty much given up on any romance. But, I do think Jon and Sansa make great partners. Between Jon's kindness and Sansa's brains, they could definitely be great rulers together. Maybe Sansa can be Queen and Jon her general or right hand man or whatever. Either way I agree, they compliment each other. And you're right, they parallel Ned and Kat so much.
Caitlin Henshaw How about John is King and Sansa is Queen and they rule together. Their generals can be select from their crew they obtained from their journey and there is quite a few that fits the script.

okay so you've ruined me again. i mean there are no words. this video is STUNNING, perfectly edited and blended. these two have such a multilayered, fascinating and beautiful dynamic. i don't know if they're gonna be endgame but i think it would be a beautiful story to tell.
and im going to get a little shady here so if you ship JD please avert your eyes from this comment: we saw what JD had to offer in s7 (no chemistry, no onscreen connection, no real interest being generated on jon's side. kit looked more dead in those scenes than that time he actually died....)
and in comparing the two it's jonsa is this 12 layer, beautifully decorated, and genuinely delicious cake and JD is a stale cheese it. there's no contest.

I wish there was a heart button! But there is a favorites button which is where this video I'll be going! You are truly amazing and this was so we'll put together. You showed the clear evidence so clearly. Especially when Sam finds out his father and brother were burned alive by Daenerys who I still love as a character but that was by far clearly the wrong choice! Jon will see first hand the pain the dragon queen has caused his closest friend. She takes life more and more without thought like her father and doesn't question if it's right or wrong or feel remorse for the lives ruined for her to get what she wants and thinks is hers which really isn't her.
"I'll fight for the north, when you bend the knee" Okay, that's bot the queen we wanted. She wasn't just fighting for the north, she was fighting for all people and lands. Like Cersei said, and I can't believe I agree with her : "If those things come for us, there will be no kingdom to rule" They were going to fight for their lands and their people to have their kingdom. I only just came across this video yesterday and I've already watched it 5 times, its so good! I really didn't pick up on the major shade of that last line from Jon until after the season was over and I rewatched it with the perspective that Jon was using Daenerys (to whatever extent), and then that line sounded so undeniable harsh!

LadyiSh09 What's new most jonsa fans focuses mostly on Dany than they do sansa LMAO. Its says more about your own insecurities than it does about Danys character because she is fictional. It make you look like a bunch of gossiping little girls who have seen a prettier girl than you and you feel the need to hate.

As somebody that never thought Daenerys is right for Jon, I never liked the idea of this two together. They want different things in life, they have different principles... All that besides that she is his aunt, it goes against all his nice, honorable character be with the mother of dragons.
Then, recently, after discovering fan fiction in my life, I was frustrated that I couldn't read GOT fan fiction because a lot of them was only about Jon and that lady that is fascinated with knees, I found Jonsa. I don't agree with you that she still wants to be queen. Her character grew a lot in both the show and the books. I think, at this point, she wants exactly the same as Jon: family, in peace, at home and the North, their people. And that's when I joined the Jonsa family. It makes sense!!!
All those carefully filmed scenes, with plenty of different angles, and looks... The imagery: Jon chocking LF was filmed exactly on the same angle when Ned chocked LF. He looking back at Sansa when he was leaving Winterfell, while he never looked back at the silver-hair lady (yes, I can't even write her name! lol). So many other scenes that were similar to past scenes, Jon mirroring Ned and Sansa, Cat. Jon smiles all the time around Sansa (there's actually a youtube video of how mamy times Jon Snow smiled in the whole series!), while we never seen him happy around Daenerys. Yes, there was some romantic tension on the cave scene.... but that was pretty much it. Somebody wrote on tumblr that Kit Harington is not a bad actor, that he knows how to act in love, infatuated... and we didn't get that. I don't believe the theory that Jon bedded her on purpose, for political reasons, because that would go against his character too, but nothing there seemed right (even though it would make sense Tyrion looking like that, as if he was with Jon in that scheme... but I don't think so; unless, Tyrion is alone in that conspiracy. After all, he pushed the unburnt lady to think that Jon was in love with her, when I clearly didn't see that).
So, I will wait until 2019, when I'll probably have my heart broken. It will be a bad year, since Kylo Ren will probably be killed in SW too. I'll enjoy the wait being happy with nice videos like yours and several fan fictions,
Jon betrayed ygrite for the greater good and there was really something there. Winning the battle against the night king at the cost of faking love isn't above him.
I'm not a Jonsa shipper in the book!verse. In the show, maybe, because... Sophie and Kit have this amazing chemistry, and because D&D ship Jonsa, and it feels like the show is going this way, and they changed Sansa's arc so much that it makes sense in the show. I'm a Sansa/Tyrion kind of person , but since it is not going to happen (seriously, it is terrible to ship something that will NEVER be canon, in any verse. I knew Sophie did not like the idea of Jonsa as a romantic pair, but I supposed they did, because if felt like they were creating romantic/sexual tension between them since the beginning of s6 (I just can't buy the idea that their relationship is meant to be just brothers bonding. Sophie's also said that she thinks jon and sansa would do best ruling together as king and queen and there's only one way to do this. Sophie's also shipped petyr and sansa somewhere around season 4. Suffice to say, it doesn't really matter what Sophie wants or doesn't want. Or what Sophie says or doesn't say. Nor does it matter if D&D thought of something or not(though them saying they hadn't thought of that(jonsa) doesn't really say anything, they also lied for a year that Jon Snow was dead, yea he was but not permanently), but grrm is the one writing the story and the endgame so he's the only one that needs to "think" of it and since he, at first, write Jon and Arya being in love it wouldn't really be much of a stretch to have Jon and Sansa being in love especially since they had less of a sibling relationship which would make the growth of romantic feelings between them easier.
yes, yes, sure :) I was specifically talking about the show because I think of show!verse and book!verse as two different stories since season five, especially Sansa's :)

I have a problem with Jon/Sansa videos. 1 year ago I started watching some of these videos because "even though I don't ship them together, the videos are beautifully done and without the family link they would go well together".

You really put the whole of that one Jonsa spreadsheet into a video - its perfect. Especially the Ned/Cat parallels, and Jon being as stubborn as Ned - why does anyone think he'd fall for someone that power hungry??? And do a Robb 2.0? That was such a poor decision. At best, Dany has to be the foil before Jon realises its Sansa all along. His growing up with the idea of a perfect maiden (definitely because of Sansa) who he keeps comparing the wildling women too, and Sansa growing up with the idea of a hero (who he acts as, even though she never sees it - I mean the behading of Janos Slynt?? its too muchhh).

It all started in the books when Ned Stark promised Sansa a Strong, gentle and Brave suitor . books complete the dialogue with ..."he i no Ameond Targareyan" . Book readers know Jon pretendedto be Ameond Targareyan in his young age; Ned knew and wanted a Stark - Targareyan Lineage, Jon was always the best of six and Ned knew this .JON SANSA ship makes sense with another dialogue reference of septa " Some day your husband will it there and you will sit beside him" . they ruled the north together and in the possible upcoming spin - off SNOW they must rule Westeros together and futher what is west of Westeros. Brandon will hopely help in this by passing the throne to Aegon and Sansa and becoming The Eye that guards the realms.

Sansa was one of my favorite GoT characters.... she started as a bratty, spoiled girl and ended up as a strong, brave woman. Perfect as the Queen of the North!
I think a good ending for game of thrones would be like if Jon and Dany had a child but she dies in childbirth or something happens to her. Then Jon would marry Sansa or something, I think that would be a good compromise, cuz I like both ideas of Jon/Dany and Jonsa tbh
