More context: 35 year old woman kidnapped by her boyfriend who had assaulted her in their car and she attempted to flee him at the gas station. She was found alive, and her 22 year old boyfriend was arrested for kidnapping, assault, stolen vehicle, and drug paraphernalia.
She looks like a child, but is a 5'1" woman who weighs 86 pounds.
Edit for those upset by this comment: I was simply trying to save some people a Google search. I haven't given an opinion on the situation outside of saying the woman looks like a child in the video. Of course, any domestic violence is bad, but that is obvious, so I didn't feel it needed to be stated.

I intervened in a domestic violence situation many years ago after seeing a man hit a woman so hard that she flew off the sidewalk and landed in the street. I detained the assailant and called the police. Victim wouldn't press charges and I could have been charged with false arrest as a result. I was fortunate that the responding officer at least appreciated that I was able to stop the attack and everyone went on their way. What an empty feeling after taking such a risk, but at least I did what I could!
Update: Since YT seems to be blocking my reply to new comments, let me just say thanks for the many kind remarks. I don't have any regrets and was only saddened by knowing that the victim will likely continue to suffer in the future.
I don't know what the motivation is for some of the insults I received, but I pray that you would appreciate help from a stranger if you are ever in need!

I know if it was someone I cared about I would want someone to help.
Buuuuuuut at the same time, getting involved in other people’s foolishness can go wrong quickly. If someone is willing open to showing violence to someone they (should) care about, why would they care about doing the same or worse to you?

That's why I have no hard feelings for this "bystander". He was just minding his own business. She don't wanna be saved. Now if it was a child, very different story. But an adult woman? I helped two 16 year old girls from getting kidnapped by a guy in a truck, pulling a big, enclosed cargo trailer in Phoenix at like 1am. He claimed he was following them because they threw rocks at his truck when he was driving past them. It was obvious they didn't. After they got away I wondered if he had other girls in the trailer so I started knocking on it and asking loudly if anyone was in there. The guy took off in the truck immediately and a car that pulled up nearby during it all took off behind him. I realized they were working together. I suspect the car was driving around looking for girls, then calls in the truck and trailer combo and they snatch the girls up, throw them in the trailer and off they go. Phoenix was one of the kidnapping capitals of the world not long ago.

I was taken and held captive in a truck with my cousin for 7 hours on a dirt road. While 2 men in a jeep blocked off the end of dirt road to the highway. I stayed calm and continuously tried to unlock the door. Finally after 7 hours, I gave the man the right compliment that boosted his narcissistic ego and when he turned to look me in the face, I unlocked the door, swung the door open and grabbed my cousin out of truck. Then, knew we were possibly going to have to fight for our lives against 3 men. We got a dead flip phone in our pocket to come on just long enough to scream our names at the 911 dispatch and to GPS us. We needed help and my cousin went into shock taking a massive heart attack. I will never forget it.
There was one fellow that followed us onto the dirt road from the same area and he walked right up to the driver's window. Asked us if we wanted a drive back into town and we were too scared to say anything. The back seat was full of weapons, guns, hatchets, you name it. We don't know if he was legit or if he was apart of it.
Scariest thing was that the man wasn't even from the area he took us from and was wearing Search and Rescue clothing from the area we resided in.
I cannot look at society the same way again. I have next to no trust for anyone in the emergency services at all anymore. I can't go to therapy either... Because, my only question is how to you trust society after that.

Too many men tried to help women from being “abused” by some boyfriend and got put in jail by both the man and woman. Look at what just happened to that blonde dude in nyc. Now he’s serving many years in prison, a former soldier to the country I believe. Men need to step back and allow women to fully utilise their autonomy, let women make their own decisions and stop ever trying to help them ever.

They run the risk of getting locked up themselves for assault (the victim turning on the guy and siding with the abuser), injured, or dead. They could also be held liable if they intervene. Most men that have learned enough life lessons know not to stick their neck out for a stranger. Would more of these same men that refuse to help strangers stick their neck out for their wife, kids, and family, and close friends? Absolutely, more would. But strangers are too high risk.
