I can't believe I found one today in a barn find , have not seen it yet & it hasn't been started for about 8 years , but he did drain the gas tank & radiator fluid thank God . Hope to God I can get it running ! My last bike was a cr 480 Honda 83 . Thanks for this video to see what this year looks like !

Just a point to note on your observation of the side panel shroud. I've just bought an OEM set for my 87' from a specialist and they are 100% the same as yours. Enjoy knowing yours is more original than you thought!

I love your bike. I noticed that you're missing the front motor mount, looking forward to future endeavors.

You're buying in the wrong quantity.
Once you realize your problem you'll quickly want a second bike with the Aftermarket parts on it.
1 bike in original condition is extremely restrictive on your life.
One day you'll learn this problem.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here, but for me, the joy of owning this bike comes in the learning process, the research, the search for parts, and the fun in putting everything together on my own so I can be proud of what I created. Sure, I could have just bought a bike all put together, but where's the pride and fun in that? I measure my success in how much I learn and through my accomplishments, not through what I can just buy and own.

      Thank heaven for that!
The worst Honda motorcycle has out sold this poor bike by a million units.
Most Honda buyers have bought the Honda cub not a CR 500.

you are so lucky,i got hurt at work and cant really ride too much anymore but i wish i had one to restore and put it in my living room to look at thats how much i love these old blue seats damn, the last thing i had was a 84 250R atc it was a lot of fun,i had it stretched 4 inches and widened rear douglas rims with zero offset plus i had rear wheel spacers so they stuck out wide and it was long so you could rip it up and drift without worrying about flipping it,i needed money to get a new car and sold it,sucks bad,but i would much rather have the 500 cc screamer like yours wow man.well enjoy life alright

Definitely a shitload of 500s in the U.S compared to W.A wouldn't mind trying to get one from over there somehow

      It's actually cheap.
      They should be $60, 000 - $90, 000.
Soon they will be this price.
