Not a bad harvest and be looking to remove some chits from my main crop potatoes next year as it seems to give fewer but large spuds when you have less growing point in the buckets.
Think I will knock off a few chits from some of my main crop potatoes next year as definitely getting bigger spuds from fewer growing point on the spud as the SSPC showed.
@@stevesallotmentdiaries Yes, it works. My theory is that a seed spud will give, for example, 1kg of potatoes. If the eyes/chits are gouged out (not rubbed off as they regrow) you get 1kg of big potatoes, if they are left on the 1kg of smaller ones. Can't really prove this as every seed spud is different LOL
