  • Part II of the Test Rides. This one features the 2018 Soft Tail Fat Bob 107 with a Bassani 2 into 1 exhaust modification. Still working on my editing skills. Also I need to do a lot more talking instead of relying on subtitles!

    I have the new Fat Bob, its awesome. I'm getting that stainless Bassani pipe soon too, can't wait. If you buy that bike with that pipe make sure to get a high airflow breather on it. Looks like they left the stock one on there, that's not gonna cut it.

    I like the look of the bike and would seriously consider one if it wasn't for the forward controls. I know they have mid controls for the bike but they are still way too forward for my liking. Shame.

    Thanks for the video, Donald Michalek. I did a short test ride and video of this bike over on my channel,(with the 114), and I'm not sure what i think. I've ridden Yamaha bikes for years, and I'm just a bit concerned about how pricey these bikes are new. Good video--SUBBED! 👍👍👍

    So ...... did you get it? It's unbelievable to find a (barely) used one with so few miles. They truly have become unicorns.

    Two totally different bikes. I have a ‘13 Fat Bob and love it. However I would gun for the Dyna for a few reasons. The last of the Low Riders. The first of the M8 softies and will only get better.
    Love the shake of my bike and not a fan of the new balanced softies Not yet that is.
    I don’t want a bike that is tending towards a sports bike ride. If I was buying a M8 softie it would be a 114 Breakout. That’s the style for me.
    Did I say I love my FXDF? Hell yeah.
    And I would love to also own a Low Rider S - probably put forwards on it tho.
    Great honest vid. I think I want to ride with that dude eh.

    Do you think it's a good beginners bike for someone who has never ridden a motorcycle before and I am going to take my msf course soon

      Amrish Kumar Although the 2018 Fat Bob is an incredible bike, I would say it is not for someone who has never ridden a bike before. It has a LOT of power, and is a bit heavy for a first time rider. It would be like having a Dodge Hellcat for your first car. There were many people who said to me that an Iron 883 was a bit much for a first bike, but went with it and had a blast. Right now there is a special where you buy a new Iron 883 and you can trade it in up to a year later and get back exactly what you paid for it. In other words, you can start with the smaller, but very fun, Iron 883 and trade up to a Fat Bob after you have a year under your belt. The MSF course will provide you with a starter bike for the course so your first experience will be with a lightweight and not too powerful motorcycle. It is always best to work your way up instead of jumping in the deep end. Ride safe and welcome to the exciting world of motorcycles!!!

      @@anthromoto5931 what about the softail slim I hv seen a 2017

    • @RandallDaytona711
      @RandallDaytona711 5 років тому

      Amrish Kumar Softtail slim is gonna be about the same weight and roughly the same power as the Fat Bob. I believe the 2017 Softtail Slims had the 103 ci engine. The Fat Bob in the video has a 107 ci.

    Hey I wanted know if somebody like me who is 5 foot 8 good ride the new fatbob comfortably or not

    • @anthromoto5931
      @anthromoto5931  6 років тому

      I am 5'11" and I felt comfortable on it. The only exception was the rear brake, but that can be adjusted I was told. There is so much more to comfort and fit that you really need to try it on for size yourself. Just like automobiles, some just fit better depending on the individual and their preferences or style. It has to look good and feel good to you, and that is hard for someone else to truly recommend.

      I am 5'10 and it is comfortable. The rear brake is annoying as hell. I was told not adjustable but the other brake levers have a bigger bend raising it up. I will be getting a new brake lever.
