- Why Kate Middleton wore almost the same Jenny Packham gown to two different Royal state banquets... it would have been easier and cheaper to rewear!!
Was it to let Queen Camilla and King Charles have the spotlight? Was it to showcase the Strathmore Rose Tiara? Or was it in am effort to pull our focus away from fashion and towards her Royal duties?

Is there any chance that she had the dress refashioned To keep up with the recycling of garments..
Another reason she dressed as she did is, and you would know better being in the U.K., may be because the coronation dress would be housed in some sort of fashion history museum, so she would not want to alter it for historical reasons. Is that a possibility?

It's not a new dress. It hasn't been altered and it was actually her second time wearing it.
It's the dress she wore to King Charles' coronation. Back then she had a cape over it, so you couldn't see it like you can now.
