今回は、ずっと気になっていた名曲"The Good Life"を弾いてみました。この曲を初めて聴いたのは師匠の岡安芳明さんのアルバム"Good Life"に収録されているバージョンでした。岡安さんはガットギターで演奏していて、なんとも美しい演奏に感激したものです。今回この曲をやるにあたって改めて色々な巨匠の録音を聴きました。ギターではやはり岡安芳明さんやケニーバレルのバージョン。ケニーさんはキーAでやっていて岡安さんはAで始まり、途中でCに転調したりしています。私も真似してキーAでトライしました。歌ではトニーベネットやフランクシナトラなどが有名でしょうか？名曲にじっくり取り組むことであまり普段演奏していなかった曲が段々自分の中に入ってきて、少しずつ詳しくなるこの工程がとても大切な時間です。
ちなみに、先日メンテナンスから戻ってきたSUPER400のサンバースト(1968)も絶好調です♪
This time, I played "The Good Life", a song that I have always been interested in. The first time I heard this song was on my teacher Yoshiaki Okayasu's album "Good Life". Mr. Okayasu played it on gut guitar, and I was very impressed with his beautiful performance. This time, I listened again to recordings by various masters. For guitar, it was Yoshiaki Okayasu's and Kenny Burrell's versions. Kenny's version is in the key of A, while Okayasu's starts in A and modulates to C in the middle. I tried to imitate Kenny's one in the key of A. It's a very important time for me to take the time to work on famous songs, so that I can gradually learn more and more about the songs I don't usually play.

I did not use an amplifier for this recording. I used the amp simulator built into the audio interface. The videos of me playing with headphones on is recorded the same way.
