Drought will definitly end .But those trees it would be better to cut them in half height so they would regrow for another time you need them .

When Australians starve perhaps they will want to look after their farmers

I get that it’s maddening not being allowed to use your own trees but the environment needs the trees to keep water in the soil. So if they destroy all the trees and it starts to rain again it’ll just get worse and worse and the landscape will be completely ruined

    • @Caliban_Cam

Not how it works mate, trees drink water like everything else, especially mulga, its like a woody grass and its the only thing that grows in drought effectively. If you dont have a clue about it, dont comment mate, scott sargood is a charliville grazzier and if mulga pulling is completely banned he’d have to pay 2 grand a hectare to clear it professionally. He has 99 thousand acres out there. Thats a big money grab for the government, its filthy that they are going that far to try and ruin their lives when they clear natural forrests around cities as much as they want. You’re clueless mate. Do some research before you have a go at a hard working bloke.

Mulga is a bloody weed. It’s better to be pushed over to feed cattle. These trees to nothing for our environment. Plz study ur souls and trees. Especially in the mulga lands. U fail to realise once these trees are pushed over, they will always grow back

I feel for these guys I really do but they have no idea. They're not farmers they're industrialists. 2018 and we have the same problems, droughts aren't going away. The system has failed and needs to be laid up and redesigned

Niall Casey farmers have “no idea” are you serious??? Australian farmers are being held back by the fckwit state and federal governments who have no idea about farming. Australia should be leading the world in food production and be drought proof for 99% of the population.
Instead we have arrogant morons like Niall Blair, Barnaby Joyce, John Barrilaro and Michael McCormack who are supposed to be representing country interests but just feather their own nest.
Regulation is killing farmers not the drought

You believe anything you see on tv, what would you think if you actually had to research something yourself and not listen to someone elses opinion since that is what news is....someone elses opinion. News isnt unbiased, never has been and every news agency admits that it is biased news.

Are you saying this because they own too many animals, and not enough land? It seems to me we had small farms it would be better for the environment.

Those cattle ranchers are hurting, and I feel badly for them. But it's the cattle and dairy industries in general that have created the drought problems that are destroying them. By clearing the land and causing runoff and soil erosion. Not to mention soil pollution from animal waste. Which makes that land unhealthy to farm. I would suggest if they want to survive, and the planet to survive, to switch to greenhouse farming, since the ground is now ruined. No animals or dairy. Just grow organic fruits and vegetables. Use plant-based and organic liquid fertilizers. No animal fertilizers. Or find land that hasn't been polluted by cattle, etc., and grow organic produce only. Use farming methods that retain water. I know there are ways, like contouring or terracing, crop rotation, and so on. I'm no expert in that, but it can be done, unlike ranching or dairy. Use plant compost and hay for fertilizers. Plus with produce you don't need to worry about animal abuse.

" Can't feed ya cows any more trees " yep that is exactly what has happened to us with feeding our cattle gidgee trees during the drought.
For as long as white man has lived in our part of QLD we turn to the Gidgee tree for feed, but with recent changes in legislation we can no longer use it.

I live in the United States and One drought I cut Three trees to feed the cattle and after I knew that I wouldn't have any tree's left if I kept feeding leaves so I bought cattle cubes and sold cattle, I would rather have the tree's, they are a lot more important.

@@gregsmith3623 yes having trees is important. The graziers in this video have literally billions of trees covering their properties and have fed the trees to their livestock every drought without losing tree population. The trees in the video grow back after being pushed over.

Get rid of your stock as soon as its dry. Do not buy feed. Go get a job if you can. Your facing a one in 200 year super drought due to grand solar minimum and cooling. Can last 20 to 30 years!!!!!
