Klaus when he does something bad it's because of anger, but Elijah acts emotionally detached and even when he kills someone he remains very calm

Hayley was pushed to be stronger then most and at times I get it but for her to beat vampires so more powerful and older at times is questionable.

Elijah may be one of the most popular characters to come from even tvd and to but even then he’s very underrated. He has so much growth as a character whether it’s his reasoning or motives that drive him. He goes through resolutions and development like no other not even klaus. I don’t think klaus is overrated he has the popularity he deserves, however he is far different than Elijah, he’s more focused on his ruthless character himself. The only real development is from his daughter and still it’s not huge. Elijah however is so much more complex.

I'm not even already done with watching the vampire diaries for the first time or even started on the originals and the legacies and I'm already rewatching the vampire diaries with my mom and it's so evident that family is what drives Elijah. Like he made the promise to kill Klaus to revenge his family, broke the promise to see his family. Used Elena has a hostage to motivate people to help the others save his family. Like seriously, I can't wait to see Uncle bonding between Elijah and Hope. Elijah is my favorite original. He's good.
