My rating: D The only positive thing I can say about torches is that they get a whopping 40~ stance damage on every charged heavy, otherwise the damage is just laughable.
I'm not sure why you can even upgrade the torches except as a gimmick for those who want to try it. Elden Ring has too many weapons imo that are poor or mid. Even though Bloodborne has a far more limited weapon selection I liked how basically all of them were well thought out and useful.

so many somber weapons in this game where my question is just "why?" like why do they even exist? bloodborne did it right for sure
