They should make the Judgment engraving restrict you from using Blessed Aura and just make all the blue skills give very high gage generation so that you can maintain very high up time on Sacred Executioner or even better yet, make it like Mayhem zerk and just always be in Sacred Executioner forever.
This ^ I don't know why they are so keen on not letting paladin have also the option to be a DPS. It'd be so incredibly easy to make him a DPS by changing the engraving like you said... Maybe they fear there'll be less supports, Idk really
those 4:3 eyed motha fuckas should actually think that a 25dps to 3 support ratio would ruin the game and make it a lobby simulator for end game content. they should remove the sup role entirely and make synergies more important and add actual natural healing to the game@@MrWestSky

Main supp pally here (I very like supp build and mostly cuz it is useful in my guild), but since I watch ur videos I tryed a lot of combinations for my second build (yes I have no alts, just my pally and I swap builds so I enjoy it 360° and this thanks to u too). I think the new buff/nerf patch will help the dps build a lot and I tried a few differents build ready for the future. The one I thought and I like the most atm is 1400+ swift 400+ crt, 4x3 engr (adrenaline, raid captain, spirit absorbption, judgment), with all back attack skills (10%crt) + 7%crt lostwind cliffs +15%crt adrenaline , very low cooldowns and max atk speed (adrenaline always up), max mov speed (max raid captain bonus) and no drawback from grudge (huge handicap now in early lategame imho). What do u think?
I think Spirit Absorption is a bad choice for all dps classes because it just utility engraving not dps engraving. and The more you invest in swiftness, the lower efficiency of spirit absorption. I recommended to put Grudge or Cursed doll instead of Spirit Absopton. :)

Seems like the biggest issue DPS paladin has is maintaining uptime on their identity buff. That really only leaves them a couple of choices for making it viable: buff blue skills base damage until they’re viable even outside of the buff or increase gauge generation to increase buff uptime significantly, and preferably add super armor to some of the longer winded attacks that are much harder to land due to interruptions. They’d have to be careful with either option though since carelessly making those changes without appropriate adjustments to support spec would just be inadvertently buffing an already very powerful build. It’d also be best if they also went for a QoL change before or after said changes to indicate between things like tank/dps/support akin to how WoW handles specs. Definitely possible, but they’d need to really think it out first. I’d also say the odds are in favor of further buffs and reworks along those lines considering the patch notes directly acknowledged that the intention for judgement paladin was to be a damage dealer, which it currently struggles to do very well
Aye I agree. The simplest solution I can think of that wouldnt compromise support balance would be to further buff the judgment engraving, for example, 100/125/150% blue skill identity gauge gain while in normal state and 100/150/200% sacred executioner duration.
@@bodieh1261 That would be one way to go about it for sure. Then if they were concerned about the possibility of a hybrid build arising they could work out a way to make the two engravings incompatible akin to Mayhem and Berserker’s Technique
@@shiprek900 Or just add to Judgement a deal like with the Gunlancer engraving that shielding to allies reduced by xx %. That would rule out any hybrids.
@@bodieh1261 Dude you read my mind. Before the recent changes I was hoping they would change the damage % on Judgement to 15/25/40 and the duration/generation to 125/150 or 150/200 whatever was necessary.

Why do paladins use the Release Light tripot (x/x/2) on their holy sword instead of Condensed Energy (x/x/1) in boss fights? @@ttm1269 So due to the multiple hits does it do faith gen/stagger per HIT and that's why it is better for support builds? I've not been able to notice that. I use Condensed Energy for bosses and Release Light for Chaos Dungeons/Open World/Trash in ADs since with multiple targets to hit the uptime can be crazy low with that cooldown reduction but I've often wondered if Release Light had any other benefits.

Awesome vid. Btw, this presetation encourage me to go forward whith my paladin project : two type of settings. One as a full support on big raids and one as a dps for my solo actions. Just swich the accesoryes and good to go. Anyway, many players judge me when inspect my paladin in a solo stats, but they literally don't understand about paladin as a versatile class. Btw : heavy armor, cursed doll, all-out attacks and spirit absorbtion (dps version) ... These are my engravings. (For now, just legendary harsh oath full set.) I observe good results whith those. I spend points between endurance, swiftness and crit. Decent numbers. What its your opinion about this engravings?
Question, you use a lot the Dash Slash, but since you don't need to reposition that much, it stay useful? and for the same skill, why you always charge it completly? I mean, seems to deal the same damage charging it or don't... and the animation is just too long Another question, since you increse your swiftness, you have the risk of draining your mana super fast, so... for that reason I'm using Judment/Conviction runes, but it's harder to land conviction with Flash Slash, that's why I prefer Execution of Justice, so... what is your opinion with this?
1. First, we need to know that DPS skills have tripod named 'Devine Punishment' or not. Basically, Skills Having that tripod are designed to have Very High damage in Judgment mode but to be slightly weak in normal state. However, Holy sword , Executor's Sword and Dash Slash can do stable damage without much difference between Judge and normal state. So, I always use Dash Slash to keep DPS. 2. When using 2-1 tripod (powerful blow), its max damage increase upto 120% according to Holding duration. 3. I think it's OK. but, if I'll use conviction & judgment combo, I'll put conviction in Flash Thrust and judgment in flash slash because I don't like Execution of justice.
Hey friend! Your videos have made me want to push my alt paladin through to 1370 to fuck around with the dps setup! I've been wondering about the engraving recommendations in the video and which you'd recommend to go for if I want to invest in legendary jewellery but not relic jewellery. So basically for a 3/3/3/3 setup what 4 engravings would you recommend to prioritise in order of importance?

I'm of the opinion that crit rate would be better for me personally but most dpses already play crit rate and with crit damage we could get a 5 set bonus so I'm a bit confused!

For Dash Slash, what is your opinion on taking Ruthless Sprint over Finishing Strike for the 3rd tripod? I feel with the amount of hits it wracks up it should be more damage?
Ruthless sprint is only powerful when all attacks are hit, but Finishing strike only needs to be hit once. If you use Ruthless , you will always have to use it close to the enemy to hit all attacks. This will be quite inconvenient.
For your engravings, you recommended Judgment, Adrenaline, Grudge, and Keen blunt for the first four and Ambush Master for the fifth. Would swapping Ambush Master for Raid captain be a better option? Since we are building Crit and Swift for this build anyway, our swift will be high so wouldn't Raid captain be more effective than Ambush Master?

That combo is also good choice. As you said, If you want to use Judgment and conviction , you put conviction in flash thrust and judgment in flash slash.
Hi again TTM, i have a question regarding engraving setup, which is more usefull, i have jugement lvl 3 that completes my 4 engravings 3333-jugement,keen blunt, ambush master, expert and my question is it better to have adrenaline on lvl 1 and jugement on lvl 2?which on is better in terms of damage?
It is an attractive option, but the DPS will be significantly lower. 2-1 Tripod(powerful blow) increases the damage by !!!120%!!! when its level is 5. In addition, In my situation, +30% critical chance is excessive and inefficient.

Relic gear >> earth's entropy final set >> two relic (earth) + two legendary (beast) + two legendary (preordained) If you have enough gold to buy relic accessories, you can get 33333. but in legendary, can get only 3333. 33333 >> grudge, adrenaline, keen, ambush, judgement 3333> grudge, adrenaline, ambush, judgement
Grudge Adrenaline (7,7) Judgement Master of Ambush (12,12) + Relic Accessory In NA/EU, 3333 is still the maximum. When Valtan is released, Relic gear will be available and you can reach 33333.
For Holy Skills I was using Wrath of God and Heavenly Blessing but since last week I was thinking of switching Wrath of God for Light Shock to use the Light's Vestige Tripod debuff at all time on bosses. I was training a simple rotation using Light Shock from 6 to 6 seconds that is the duration of the debuff and also is the cooldown of the skill (with cd gems). My question is, is that change worth? I don't know, but I felt a bit more free in this rotation, I lose a 15% buff 8 secs and gain a 10% bonus damage on the target at all time... What do you think about this? And for a disclaimer, I choose to keep the Heavenly Blessing cause of the damage reduction buff that comes with the atk power buff.
Hi TTm, i wanna ask what 5 blue skills would be the best? If i choose 5/3 skill build? And is it worth it to have wrath of god/holy protection/light shock? Or picking only 2 buffs is better idea?
I don’t understand why dps pally is so shunned. Even if dps is a tad bit lower, they still provide attack power buffs and synergy so 1 dps pally in a group with no other support would be miles better to have than any other dps class. Am I wrong about this? Wouldn’t a dps pally/ gun lancer/dps/dps comp be pretty good actually?
First of all, the 4 dps group inevitably has lower HP recovery than normal group. (Because dps pally don't use blessing aura. and this also lead to decrease 10% party DPS.) Basically, all supports have two types synergy. 1. Attack power buffs 2. Debuff (Damage from all Party Members +10.0%), but DPS pally does not use 2. This results in 10% dps lower for the entire party. In addition, the utilization rate of 1. and 2. for dps pally is relatively lower than other support because support invests swiftness in all accessories but dps paladin is partially invest to Crit. Therefore, if you want to do dps paladin, I recommend to organize a normal group. (dps dps dps support)
my question is ok...this is not a dps class i think we all aware of that. but after this patch. does dps paladin still considered as dog shit dps class that need to stay away from. or it have somewhat lets say, more of "Avg" dps now that can still be idk, "viable"
Will i be accepted into raids as dps paladin? I always hear that running judgement is a nono in raids.. only when playing solo. Is it different now after the changes? I really like dps pala, but always held back to upgrade to endgame since i dont like to play holy knight.
Well, it's about the perception of users and I wouldn't recommend playing dps paladin if you don't have friends to play with. I'm enjoying The legion raid as a dps paladin in KR, but it's not that easy to enter in a party.
Do you think even support paladin will go with more Crit stats and dump specialization? Seems to me specialization does not do much for paladin at all.

Thank you so much for another extremely detailed video! I was wondering if you had any thoughts about using awakening engraving for dps paladin? I know you'd have to sacrifice another damage engraving to do this, but could it possibly be balanced by filling gauge almost instantly with Awakening ability, and return to Judgement identity faster for more uptime. Can the blue abilities alone fill the gauge fast enough to stay in identity regularly? What is the charge time like at high ilvl? I haven't tested the numbers myself, just wondering if you have any thoughts about this. I use Awakening 3 / Judgement 3 for chaos dungeon right now and it feels like I have identity almost all the time when awakening is cycled properly with other good gauge building skills.
1. Research on awakening is still underway in Korea. Additionally, there are DPS relic gear sets related to awakening, so we are studying how to use it. (various relic gears will be released at the time of release of Valtan.) and Plus, The relic gear I use is a gear that increases additional damage when a back or head attack hit successfuly, so the overall dps difference between my gear and awakening gear can be known only after further research. However, I want you to know that it is difficult to give an accurate answer because conclusion may change depending on the length of Raid time and the type of gimic the boss has, etc.. 2. please check 09:40. maybe I think it takes between 1m ~ 1m 20s on average. 3. In chaos dungeons, cooldown reduction buffs can be obtained from time to time in the second and third stages, so that will not be accurate data.

My main alt is support paladin for group content and switch out my skills for chaos dungeons/tower for extra dps but it's still meh because my engravings stay support. Is there a way to save engravings for when I switch to dps or do I manually have to switch the engravings?
@@Robbi00 I use the Alt + E setup, i have 1 build for dps Chaos (AoE), 1 support and 1 dps singletarget build. So that swaps my abilities, engravings, accessories and cards. To fast swap between the presets use CTRL + A/S/D.
I'm a bit confused, if I use the summary skills for the build, then I have no room for additional holy skills that "we need to use". Could you make an online build for easy comparison? from punika builder etc
Great video, super excited for the changes to come to NA/EU. Honest question tho, is dps pally competitive with other classes in kr end game? I ask because I am a support pally main(1445) with 3 pally alts and I've never felt that paladin dps was lacking at all whenever I have the rare chance to go dps in group content. Yet everyone everywhere constantly craps on dps pallies, so I just wanted your take since you run a dps pally.
In short time raid. It can compete with other Pure DPS classess. (because by using awakening potion, pally can maintain judgement mode during the entire raid. detail info >>ua-cam.com/video/qs08qjJLGbg/v-deo.html) However, the longer the raid time, the lower the dps of the paladin.

I have a little confusion on which path i should take on my engravings, i do have stats split ~55/45% crit /swit, my question what 4 best engravings i should choose, so far my idea is juge 3,grudge(or keen blunt?) 3,ambush master 3,adrenaline 3 (or 1?). My question is what would give me the most damage - grudge or keen blunt?

@@pauliusnanukas7183 Adrenaline increases your Atk. Power as you use your skills maxing at 6 stax. Ambush increases your damage by 25% for a successful back attack. Making Amb a better 3rd starter than adrenaline. But ig youre in the highdr iLevel gear then Adrenaline is better since you already have a High Attack power.

@@pauliusnanukas7183 I look at it in this perspective, Grudge has the increased damage applied to you constantly, while keen makes your attacks 20% sometimes. So for consistency without much diminished returns I go for keen. Grudge is a great DPS engraving but with your High Crit, Keen is better compliments it better. I would probably take grudge on much higher gear score, one that is high enough that the damage taken is somewhat negligible. On that note after hitting 1370, I would go for x3 Judgement, x3 Adrenaline, x3 Keen Blunt, x3 Ambush Master. You can take cursed doll too for high Atk Power. The Negative in Cursed is not that punishing in my opinion.
he has to be using minimum 4 piece entropy(17% crit). I too am playing with this build. theres just some things that dont add up tho. with Critswift Necklace/Crit Ringsx2/Swift Earringsx2 = 900 Crit / 1100 swiftness on (100% quality) but only way for me to achieve 950crit/1250 swiftness is with 1 Crit earring / Swift ringx2 / Swift earing / Critswift Necklace. Overall his in depth skill knowledge helped me reach higher DPS tho. Regarding the mana issue remember that in a real scenario we aren't capable of spamming all our skills consistently for 1 minute.
@@TonyDang0688 yeah you are right about the mana issue not being relevant in normal content, my dps is still quite low tho. I still dont got enough crit so i decided to go 1 crit 1 swift earring and both rings crit. ( i play light of salvation 18 awakening). high Tripods are also very important for this build and you need alot of them. Maybe its worth it to play heavenly blessings on 7 and get another dps spell in instead of charge.
@@DS-qg3cd I've made my build and mana can be an issue still. His fix is master herb steak which I tried and barely have mana issues. Indeed you need tripods and gems. I'm running 788 crit / 1288 swiftness with lost wind full entropy set And my engravings are: Lvl3 grudge, keenblunt, ambushmaster, increases mass Lvl2 adrenaline Lvl1 judgment

No support paladin was building crit before this patch, and most likely still won't because you're playing support paladin. Stagger Damage is unchanged, since stagger damage isn't related to actual damage dealt to a target.
@@Maitreya888 Actually you are right, the information I had was outdated. Support and DPS both receive this change however, so not much changes in the grand scheme. I don't know if will cause issues with checks, but if it does maybe we can get a small stagger bump in the skills to compensate. Swiftness benefits the long cds of support too much to warrant building crit, and spec has its place for strategic use of your blessed aura to push damage.

DPS paladin use condensed energy (much more dps)
but support paladin use release light because it can get more faith than condensed energy.
@@ttm1269 So due to the multiple hits does it do faith gen/stagger per HIT and that's why it is better for support builds? I've not been able to notice that. I use Condensed Energy for bosses and Release Light for Chaos Dungeons/Open World/Trash in ADs since with multiple targets to hit the uptime can be crazy low with that cooldown reduction but I've often wondered if Release Light had any other benefits.

Awesome vid. Btw, this presetation encourage me to go forward whith my paladin project : two type of settings. One as a full support on big raids and one as a dps for my solo actions. Question, you use a lot the Dash Slash, but since you don't need to reposition that much, it stay useful? and for the same skill, why you always charge it completly? I mean, seems to deal the same damage charging it or don't... and the animation is just too long
Another question, since you increse your swiftness, you have the risk of draining your mana super fast, so... for that reason I'm using Judment/Conviction runes, but it's harder to land conviction with Flash Slash, that's why I prefer Execution of Justice, so... what is your opinion with this?
1. First, we need to know that DPS skills have tripod named 'Devine Punishment' or not.
Basically, Skills Having that tripod are designed to have Very High damage in Judgment mode but to be slightly weak in normal state.
However, Holy sword , Executor's Sword and Dash Slash can do stable damage without much difference between Judge and normal state.
So, I always use Dash Slash to keep DPS.
2. When using 2-1 tripod (powerful blow), its max damage increase upto 120% according to Holding duration.
3. I think it's OK.
but, if I'll use conviction & judgment combo, I'll put conviction in Flash Thrust and judgment in flash slash because I don't like Execution of justice.

For Dash Slash, what is your opinion on taking Ruthless Sprint over Finishing Strike for the 3rd tripod? I feel with the amount of hits it wracks up it should be more damage?
Ruthless sprint is only powerful when all attacks are hit, but Finishing strike only needs to be hit once.
If you use Ruthless , you will always have to use it close to the enemy to hit all attacks.
This will be quite inconvenient.
For your engravings, you recommended Judgment, Adrenaline, Grudge, and Keen blunt for the first four and Ambush Master for the fifth. Would swapping Ambush Master for Raid captain be a better option? Since we are building Crit and Swift for this build anyway, our swift will be high so wouldn't Raid captain be more effective than Ambush Master?
ambush is better and easy and more powerful.
Raid captain can achieve maximum efficiency only when the move speed is +45%.

That combo is also good choice. As you said, If you want to use Judgment and conviction , you put conviction in flash thrust and judgment in flash slash.

If you already have more than 70% of crit chance, it's better to use lv3 judgment.

Opinion using the +30%Crit/+AtkSpd tripod for Dash Slash? I like it mainly to keep Adrenaline stacks up more reliably and have a faster rotation.
It is an attractive option, but the DPS will be significantly lower. 2-1 Tripod(powerful blow) increases the damage by !!!120%!!! when its level is 5. In addition, In my situation, +30% critical chance is excessive and inefficient.

In NA/EU, 3333 is still the maximum. When Valtan is released, Relic gear will be available and you can reach 33333.
For Holy Skills I was using Wrath of God and Heavenly Blessing but since last week I was thinking of switching Wrath of God for Light Shock to use the Light's Vestige Tripod debuff at all time on bosses. I was training a simple rotation using Light Shock from 6 to 6 seconds that is the duration of the debuff and also is the cooldown of the skill (with cd gems).
My question is, is that change worth? I don't know, but I felt a bit more free in this rotation, I lose a 15% buff 8 secs and gain a 10% bonus damage on the target at all time... What do you think about this?
And for a disclaimer, I choose to keep the Heavenly Blessing cause of the damage reduction buff that comes with the atk power buff.

I don’t understand why dps pally is so shunned. Even if dps is a tad bit lower, they still provide attack power buffs and synergy so 1 dps pally in a group with no other support would be miles better to have than any other dps class. Am I wrong about this? Wouldn’t a dps pally/ gun lancer/dps/dps comp be pretty good actually?

First of all, the 4 dps group inevitably has lower HP recovery than normal group.
(Because dps pally don't use blessing aura. and this also lead to decrease 10% party DPS.)
Basically, all supports have two types synergy. 1. Attack power buffs 2. Debuff (Damage from all Party Members +10.0%), but DPS pally does not use 2.
This results in 10% dps lower for the entire party.
In addition, the utilization rate of 1. and 2. for dps pally is relatively lower than other support because support invests swiftness in all accessories but dps paladin is partially invest to Crit.
Therefore, if you want to do dps paladin, I recommend to organize a normal group.

Well, it's about the perception of users and I wouldn't recommend playing dps paladin if you don't have friends to play with. I'm enjoying The legion raid as a dps paladin in KR, but it's not that easy to enter in a party.

u dont put crit on support paladin. I highly recommend Swiftness > Specialization
It improves Holy Aura which is a must have.

You never ever want to put points in crit unless you're running solo content you want it in either spec or swiftness and nothing else.

Thank you so much for another extremely detailed video! I was wondering if you had any thoughts about using awakening engraving for dps paladin? I know you'd have to sacrifice another damage engraving to do this, but could it possibly be balanced by filling gauge almost instantly with Awakening ability, and return to Judgement identity faster for more uptime.
Can the blue abilities alone fill the gauge fast enough to stay in identity regularly? What is the charge time like at high ilvl?
I haven't tested the numbers myself, just wondering if you have any thoughts about this. I use Awakening 3 / Judgement 3 for chaos dungeon right now and it feels like I have identity almost all the time when awakening is cycled properly with other good gauge building skills.
1. Research on awakening is still underway in Korea.
Additionally, there are DPS relic gear sets related to awakening, so we are studying how to use it. (various relic gears will be released at the time of release of Valtan.)
and Plus, The relic gear I use is a gear that increases additional damage when a back or head attack hit successfuly, so the overall dps difference between my gear and awakening gear can be known only after further research.
However, I want you to know that it is difficult to give an accurate answer because conclusion may change depending on the length of Raid time and the type of gimic the boss has, etc..
2. please check 09:40. maybe I think it takes between 1m ~ 1m 20s on average.
3. In chaos dungeons, cooldown reduction buffs can be obtained from time to time in the second and third stages, so that will not be accurate data.

My main alt is support paladin for group content and switch out my skills for chaos dungeons/tower for extra dps but it's still meh because my engravings stay support. Is there a way to save engravings for when I switch to dps or do I manually have to switch the engravings?
Is there no 'Preset Change' yet? It's a function that allows you to change the setting conveniently. (You can use it by pressing Alt + E)

@@Robbi00 I use the Alt + E setup, i have 1 build for dps Chaos (AoE), 1 support and 1 dps singletarget build. So that swaps my abilities, engravings, accessories and cards. To fast swap between the presets use CTRL + A/S/D.

I ask because I am a support pally main(1445) with 3 pally alts and I've never felt that paladin dps was lacking at all whenever I have the rare chance to go dps in group content. Yet everyone everywhere constantly craps on dps pallies, so I just wanted your take since you run a dps pally.
In short time raid. It can compete with other Pure DPS classess.

However, the longer the raid time, the lower the dps of the paladin.

@@pauliusnanukas7183 Adrenaline increases your Atk. Power as you use your skills maxing at 6 stax. Ambush increases your damage by 25% for a successful back attack. Making Amb a better 3rd starter than adrenaline. But ig youre in the highdr iLevel gear then Adrenaline is better since you already have a High Attack power.

@@pauliusnanukas7183 I look at it in this perspective, Grudge has the increased damage applied to you constantly, while keen makes your attacks 20% sometimes. So for consistency without much diminished returns I go for keen. Grudge is a great DPS engraving but with your High Crit, Keen is better compliments it better. I would probably take grudge on much higher gear score, one that is high enough that the damage taken is somewhat negligible. On that note after hitting 1370, I would go for x3 Judgement, x3 Adrenaline, x3 Keen Blunt, x3 Ambush Master. You can take cursed doll too for high Atk Power. The Negative in Cursed is not that punishing in my opinion.

he has to be using minimum 4 piece entropy(17% crit). I too am playing with this build.
theres just some things that dont add up tho.
with Critswift Necklace/Crit Ringsx2/Swift Earringsx2 = 900 Crit / 1100 swiftness on (100% quality)
but only way for me to achieve 950crit/1250 swiftness is with 1 Crit earring / Swift ringx2 / Swift earing / Critswift Necklace.
Overall his in depth skill knowledge helped me reach higher DPS tho.
Regarding the mana issue remember that in a real scenario we aren't capable of spamming all our skills consistently for 1 minute.
@@TonyDang0688 yeah you are right about the mana issue not being relevant in normal content, my dps is still quite low tho. I still dont got enough crit so i decided to go 1 crit 1 swift earring and both rings crit. ( i play light of salvation 18 awakening). high Tripods are also very important for this build and you need alot of them. Maybe its worth it to play heavenly blessings on 7 and get another dps spell in instead of charge.

This is also an indirect nerf to support paladin. Since support paladin has no Crit so will do less damage and less stagger damage also.
No support paladin was building crit before this patch, and most likely still won't because you're playing support paladin. Stagger Damage is unchanged, since stagger damage isn't related to actual damage dealt to a target.

@@Maitreya888 Actually you are right, the information I had was outdated. Support and DPS both receive this change however, so not much changes in the grand scheme. I don't know if will cause issues with checks, but if it does maybe we can get a small stagger bump in the skills to compensate. Swiftness benefits the long cds of support too much to warrant building crit, and spec has its place for strategic use of your blessed aura to push damage.
