The other day i did my tricep work. My last workout I did 75lbs for 11 reps. The following arm workout everything went up. Except for the triceps. I figured I could do 80lbs for at least 6,7 reps. I couldn't even move it! I couldn't move 75lbs either. I dropped the weight to 60lbs and did 15 reps to failure. Do you think I still stimulated growth or dug a bigger whole in recovery? What threw me off was that everything else went up. Maybe i just ran out of energy.
It would be interesting to hear what Billy has to say, but I've been there. I would surmise that it has something to do with everything increasing at the same time and you were too fatigued by the time it came around to triceps. Maybe you're doing too many exercises for your frequency. You could also try doing a warm-up set or maybe shuffle triceps to the front every second arm workout.
If you are backsliding it means you are fatigued, whether local or systemic is doesnt matter, fatigue is gonna hold you back. Add more rest between sessions and watch those numbers climb
It's not minimalist, its maximalist. Maximum effort for maximum effect. You can't do that too many times!

Same thing happened to me with dumbbell shoulder press. You need to move towards a more stable machine
