I still remember the way Aj Mcee went through that grand prix and beat Pitbull. He's an exceptional fighter and cant wait to see his next fight in PFL.
Outlaw was so fucking clueless on the ground its painful. But tbf the body physique of AJ makes advances from full guard very hard without taking risky openings to pass.
Once the crowd started booing I could feel the ref about to do just that. But to Outlaw's credit he did his best to try and advance his position (though it was ineffective). And AJ increased the velocity and volume (both output and sound!) of significant strikes on Outlaw. Due to this combination the ref did not stop the action in order to stand them up. Had he done so it would have been to AJ's advantage, and his haters would have used that as an excuse to further cry foul and hate on him even more so than they are doing now. ✌️😎👍
Even Zatoichi, The Blind man could hear and smell who won that fight. He'd ask, "Who's that getting hit so hard, and who's blood is that I'm smelling?" I'm just saying, it's apparent that the AJ hate is real. One must ask what's it all really about? What's the root cause of it, and what's lying beneath the surface of it. If one answers these questions honestly, one can only draw one conclusion. ✌️😎👍
Yeah, and rightfully so. Outlaw scored the takedown and basically held AJ down for the rest of the round. He did not score any significant strikes, nor did he threaten with any submissions. AJ on the other hand scored with the roundhouse kick that gave Outlaw the opportunity for the takedown. Then continued to score with significant strikes to the head from the bottom position for the remainder of the round. Taking someone down and holding them there is not enough to win a round. Especially while the guy is effectively preventing you from advancing your position, whilst simultaneously striking you in the face with hands and elbows. Respectfully I feel you need to watch that round again unbiasedly as I did sir. ✌️😎👍
that outcome was expected after round one, why is it that fighters go for the takedown, have the top position, but then make no real effort to try to get a submission or throw some hits to do some form of damage, you cant just lay on your opponents belly sniffing their after shave and expect to score points, if after 30 sec you aint getting nothing done, get up off the mat and fight, outlaw may have had more takedowns, but he did nothing from his top position, nothing, Aj threw and landed more damage from the bottom position.
AJ won by effectively out striking his opponent and preventing him from advancing his top position in every round.. Outaw did not threaten even once with any submissions, nor did he land any significant strikes. You shouldn't expect someone to win by just taking their opponent down and holding him there, while at the same time getting pummeled into a bloody pulp. With all due respect this is MMA, not a wrestling match. The judges and a majority of the audience saw it that way as well sir. Not one drop of that blood on that blood soaked canvas belonged to AJ either. In light of all of that, that's how he won sir. ✌️😎👍
AJ McKee is truly the star of Bellator. We are waiting for his match against the PFL in Saudi Arabia.
Ez win

Sydney Outlaw so strong with pressure heavy wrestling. AJ is just bad ass everywhere.

AJ McKee better work on his wrestling if he wants to beat Usman

A.J. McKee's performances at featherweight were astonishing, but since moving to lightweight, his performances have been mediocre.

Dumb. Outlaw did nothing on top but get butchered by McKee from bottom. Being on top doesn't mean you are winning, casual

People are paying for a fight. Not a wrestling match. He needs to go to a judo competition or the Olympics with all that wrestling

Simple. It's damage , the main scoring aspect in MMA nowadays. Takedowns/ control time mean nothing without damage
By doing more damage to his opponent
AJ Mckee won this fight because his opponent did absolutely nothing but donate blood to the blood bank. Was that a good answer?
